Biblical Separation

    What in your POV is the best book on Biblical Separation? I have the Dividing Line, but have thought about purchasing one of the following books that may be more practical rather than historical.

    Be Ye Holy
    Set Apart

    Set apart was written by a Conservative Evangelical and not a Fundamentalist, so am not sure how well he will communicate the subject. But the book looks to be good. The doctrine of separation is such a needed and unfortunately not touched very much in most churches (outside of Fundamentalist circles).

    There are several Set Apart books on Amazon.com, but whichever one you mean, I don't know the author of any of them.

    I assume that the other book you mention is Be Ye Holy by Fred Moritz. Dr. Moritz is an old friend who used to be General Director of my mission, so I know him well and respect him highly. He is a top flight fundamentalist scholar, currently teaching theology at Maranatha Baptist Seminary, an excellent fundamentalist school with regional accreditation. I took a systematic theology course (Soteriology) from him last furlough, and he taught well. You can't go wrong with his book, which gives a good theological basis to the doctrine of separation.

    Another fundamentalist scholar with a good book was Ernests Pickering, Biblical Separation: the Struggle for a Pure Church. Again, John R. Rice was more of an apologist than a scholar, but his Come Out or Stay In? is a good treatment.
