"Do you ever wonder why we are still in Iraq after defeating Saddam Hussein’s forces in March, 2003? Are we peacekeeping until the Iraqis can establish “stability” and “democracy?” Will that ever come? Why are we in Afghanistan? Proving we can outlast the English and the Russians in an endless battle with Afghani tribesmen?"

If you you have never wondered about this but have dreamed of being in command of a pilotless drone "advancing the cause of freedom" around the world CLICK HERE.

Or if you dream of some day becoming a real fighter pilot "helping to build and sustain a more democratic, secure, and prosperous world composed of well-governed states that respond to the needs of their people, reduce widespread poverty, and act responsibly within the international system." A quick quote from the article,

My wife raised the concern that militarily, we were possibly being "spread thin" by now being in Libya, while the whole Iraq thing is not even over yet. (Where next?)
I wonder if that could possibly be deliberate; like we are becoming more vulnerable to attacks now.

I'm more concerned with the muddled mission, lack of congressional authorization and the fact we don't have a clue who we are helping to overthrow Ghadafi.

Reports indicate Al Qaeda has a significant presence in the rebel forces.

Is that who we want to help take over Libya?

Nah, not really. We still have more military than most of the rest of the world; and for one of the remaining superpowers (China or Russia) to build up enough to send any kind of force would be easily spottable in this day and age of electronic surveillance.

No, the attacks you have to worry about don't involve spreading forces thin. They have to do with missiles and terrorist tactics.

The proper use of the US military is to defend our borders and keep the sea lanes open. That's all, folks.
