    Liquid All Free. I have a front loader and found powder to cake up since there's not as much water. I use the All Free because it's fine for hubby's SUPER sensitive skin.

    Wegmans Grocery store brand

    and Alex Baldwins mom loves Wegmans

    and then she did a commercial with Alex for Wegmans (scroll down a bit to view the spot)

    The article stated they shot the commercial at the Fairmount Wegmans. That is the store I used to shop at until I move out to the boonies

    I (rather my wife) uses our supermarket's own brand of liquid in sachets. Out of the brand names in the poll, I recognised just one, Tide. I haven't seen that for years.

    Popular brands here include: Daz, Bold, Ariel, Fairy, and Persil.

    Kroger had some liquid kind that was $1.94; that's what I bought last Thursday night.

    Mostly, my wife and our daughters make our own but we might buy Tide or Biz or All or something like that to suppliment it.

    I use Purex. Perferably the dyefree/scentfree liquid, but I've used it all over the years! It's one of the few brands I can use without everyone complaining that their clothes are "itchy".

    Amway liquid.....a good Baptist friend sells it, and I buy through her Amway website. It is great detergent!

    Works REALLY well for sensitive skin. I react to perfumes and certain chemicals (like Bounce dryer sheets, for instance, which will give me a skin condition akin to poison ivy) and we've found this to be a very good detergent.

    We usually use the lemon verbeena blend.

    All free and clear, occasionally Woolite but only if I can get it for $3 or under. I never pay more than that, which means occasionally I end up getting Purex if there's no sale I can combine with a coupon on the other stuff where I shop because that's $2.

    Some sensitivity here, found All Free and Clear to be the best one for that while still getting clothes clean. Generic/cheaper brands tend to be highly scented and the unscented doesn't do a very good job on any I've tried.

    We get our laundry detergent at Sam's Club...:thumbs:
    And use there brand-- Member's mark.
    Just started using there fabric softener too.

    Hello Gwen,
    There are several ways. I even make my own fabric softener. I would suggest you might Google homemade laundry detergent. Most have to cook theirs so I did not like all that work as well as the lumpy results.

    I buy no name dish liquid in a concentrated form in large sizes (a dawn substitute) and then cut it 3 to 6 times with water and bottle it for laundry soap. The cutting depends on how hard your water is. Three times for hard water and 6 times for not so hard water. Then I use the same amount as regular detergent would call for.
