Is Pharaoh and Egypt a picture of Adam and his federal headship?

Those that deny Original sin state it is not fair for God to do this, even with scripture stating other wise. Romans 5

But is not Pharaoh a picture of this?

Pharaoh sinned and would not let his God people go, but God killed not Pharaoh, but all the 1st born males in Egypt. This indeed is the picture of federal headship of Adam.

I don't see what it has to do with freewill. I've just never heard of that one before.

We are the offspring of Adam. The Hebrews were not the offspring of Pharaoh. I don't see the connection.

    Hello amy,

We are indeed the offspring of Adam. and the Hebrews were not from Pharaoh.

    The connection...:)

Federal Headship is the teaching that there is one who represents the whole group. It could be a family, a race or mankind. Adam was the headship of mankind. He represented all of us. When Adam sinned we as under the same group as Adam....the group he represented falls too. In other words, we becase we are from Adam are guilty of Adams sin.

Some deny this for a number of reasons, but mainly because its not fair.

Pharaoh sinned...not the Egyptians..and all the Egyptians paid the price of Pharaohs sins.

Pharaoh was the Federal Headship of Egyptian

    This supports Original sin,
