    Which Seminaries teach dispensationalism?

Also, is the current DTS dispensationalism the same form as that which used to mark DTS in the past?

I know a lot of Independent Baptist seminaries (not necessarily the IFBx type but them too) that do. There are other seminaries not Baptist but baptistic are dispo too.

Also... there is still the old DTS dispensationalism but mostly it is now Progressive Disp at DTS now.

You'll find plenty of dispensationalists, though mostly progressive dispensationalism, at the SBC seminaries.

Specifically I know of several at SWBTS and SEBTS.

    Dispensationalism?

"Does anybody really care what time it is?"

    "That is all."

I know at SEBTS... there is a wide range accross the board. You have PD all the way to Ammill... love the diversity.

Off the top of my head:
    Maranatha
    Bob Jones
    Northland
    International Baptist
    Central
    Calvary Lansdale
none of which could be considered IFBx

All seminaries should teach it. Now before you all kill me, listen carefully:
if you're teaching theology, you should teach all of it and as many THEORIES as possible. In other words, put all the cards on the table.

For instance, my junior high science teacher, Mr. Webb, taught us about evolution, but he also said "PLEASE do not go home and tell Mom and Dad that I said WE CAME FROM MONKEYS. This is a THEORY and you will all have to decide." In my opinion, theology instructors should have the same thing going on. Covenant and Dispensational theology should be taught so that the students get both sides. It's just like deciding that in a soteriology unit, you're ONLY going to teach Calvinism.

To add to that list of IFB but not IFBx:

Baptist Bible Seminary (Clarks Summit, PA)
    Faith Baptist Theological Seminary
Central Baptist Seminary (Minneapolis & VA Beach)
    Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary
    Piedmont Baptist Grad School

    Some non Baptist:

    Chafer Theological Seminary
    Tyndale Theological Seminary
    Grace Theological Seminary

Shepherds Theological Seminary is IFB (not xer) and closer to PD than anything else.

I think we are seeing some SBC centric thinking on this thread. Central (in its Minneapolis location) was seen as the follow on to W.B. Riley's Northwestern. Maranatha is a split off Central/Pillsbury (it's not wise to have two bulls in the same pasture). Both schools have their roots in the old Northern Baptist movement.

Forgot about Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary...

Does anyone know where Mid-America might fin into that? I assumed it had landmark leanings, but that I just a guess.

Dispy is central at MABTS, as well as Luther Rice Seminary.

Yes... IFBx or Xer for short... the militant KJVO separatist type (the ones 20/20 just did a report on). They don't have many seminaries.

It was back in the early to mid 90s when I was looking at seminaries. It may have changed. I have never met a MABTS grad who is not Dispy, for what it's worth.
