Who was the First Theolgian To bring In "Limited Atonement?"

    Know that the Popular response could be "God/Jesus"

    Outside though of the Bible, who is seen as being first to expound and explain it this way?

    Neither was it Paul :) .. since both sides claim his writings establish their view on that theological perspective. So the qualifier would be - after Paul.. who did?

    I imagine it is unintentional, but this is like the old "Did you stop beating your wife?" question. To even answer or entertain a response on this OP would be to either self-incriminate or agree to the underlying presupposition; in this case, that Limited Atonement is a post-biblical innovation.
