Do you agree? Why or why not

Please provide both clear scriptural support and scholarly sources to support your position.

    Please:

    1. No one, two, or even three line snarky attacks.
    2. Do not work to discredit the person
    3. Only address claims and statements

Wright's conclusion is at odds with 2 Corinthians 5.21, where Paul had in mind precisely God's own righteousness imputed to us by faith. Also Romans 3.21-22.

I've not read Wright on imputation in a while, but I am sure he has an answer for both of those passages. Nevertheless, the clear teaching of those passages is that God's own righteousness is imputed by faith (not, as Wright would have it, consisting of faith). The traditional view is clearly supported by 2 Cor 5.21: Our sins imputed to Christ and His righteousness imputed to us.

Actually God's righteousness or Christ righteousness is imputed to the account of all those Christ had their sins imputed unto Him. I believe the Transaction occured at the same time in the mind of God . The sinner no more had to exist in order for God to impute his sins to Christ charge, that does he have to exist for God to impute Christ righteousness to his account. 2 Cor 5:21; Rom 3:33-34

he seems to not remember that We are saved through God applying/reckoning to us the rightiousness of Christ...
its NOT intrinsic in ourselves, nor faith is NOT source of it, its from the Cross.

We are "in Christ" and that is what saves us, true, gets us into being "covenant person" but HAVE to be rightious first!

Was this part of him trying to have the "new understanding" of Paul and his teachings, as the Church has been misreading/misunderstanding Paul, since we divorced him too much from jewish concepts/thoughts of the time?
