sometimes those advocating the KJVO position has said these two things..

I have read that IF you had to choose between Greek/Hebrew texts and KJV take the KJV
Also that God perserved it as ONLY version for today...

What "facts" allows one to claim such for the KJV?

"The only correct Bible for English-speaking people is the KJV 1769 oxford revision"

St Ruckman to the Pensacolians 3:16

    Or not.

Its plain that there aren't any fact to support the idea that KJV was "inspired by God". None of the translators ever made that claim and King James wasn't the "inspired by God" type. (rather he was "inspired by power or glory" lol) God used the times and the translators greatly yes, but He uses newer translations just as well.

Doesn't stop some from claiming such though. I was well versed in the KJVO theology as a child and often wondered why the sweet little old lady that sat on the pew in front of me used that evil Living Bible AT CHURCH! Of course, that's before I figured out the difference between our old church and the new one, which was SBC rather than IFB.

Wanna shush a KJVO? Just ask him/her to provide SCRIPTURAL SUPPORT for KJVO. If they say, "Psalm 12:6-7", just ask them where these verses specify the KJV. (Personally, I believe those verses are about PEOPLE. There are many more verses that plainly say GOD preserves His word, and none of them specify any language or translation within any language.)
