I did. What about it do you think supports their action in banning the NIV 2011?

Yeah, the bottom line (in more ways than one):"All these issues, and more, are thoroughly dealt with in the B&H book The TNIV and the Gender Neutral Controversy." Poythress and Grudem are the authors of that drivel.

That's a wonderfully straightforward article cogently put.

Doesn't the ESV do the same thing in as the HCSB and the TNIV? Anyone have examples of gender neutrality in the ESV?

What is funny in this is that my pastor just earned his second doctorate in theology, had to go over to wale to complete his dissetation before their Board on the trinity...

He JUST purchased a 2011 NIV, and he recommends it to read/studt from, along with both the NASB 1995 and ESV...

Asked what changed in NIV, said that about 300-350 personal pronouns references changed, that was about it...

Guess he did not get the memo!

I bought an NIV 2011 recently, and I have been using it as my primary Bible ever since.

Was it recent? Do you have a link?

I know someone who states they agree with the SBC's stance and that's why they use the ESV, but I recall the ESV using "children of Israel" in place of "sons of Israel" and "person" and "one" instead of "he" or "man".
