Would you say you are a quiet or louder person? Do you vary according to who you are with or how you feel on the day? I'm 'traditionally' a quiet person, but have become louder and more opinionated in recent years.

Tend to be quiet, but wait for my opportunity to speak. Then, I tend to have one final statement to make rather firmly.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Depends. I have my days when I'm loud. When I get too quiet...well, be afraid. Be very afraid. I'm usually plotting. (nobody suspects the quiet person)

I really don't see any purpose to being loud though. What's your definition of it? Do you just mean talkative and involved or loud as in volume? I'm not that big on volume unless I'm playing.
I find people listen when you whisper. If I have a classroom of noisy kids I'll do something like whisper "if you can hear me, raise your hand." Those that hear me and raise their hand get a reward, those that don't wonder what on earth is going on and get quiet, then quickly learn to be quiet enough to hear me whisper because they don't want to miss out next time. :D

I was the quietest little thing as a teenager. Afraid of my own shadow (with good reason however).

Then I had a few run-ins with the local school system (they were wrong and I was right) and quickly learned when to speak and when to listen and let them hang themselves. :D

And now? I'm not loud. I'm just confident. Yep, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I tend to be more on the quiet side when in situations I'm not sure about and a bit louder when I'm comfortable. That has nothing to do with volume but the amount that I will speak.

Now, if we're talking volume, I'm quiet, hubby is LOUD. Loud like in our sanctuary that seats 700 people, he doesn't need a microphone. In the olden days, he would have been a very successful preacher because he's definitely got the volume there. I'm often finding myself saying "Shhhh - I'm sitting right her and I can hear you fine." :)

I meant quiet, as in talkative and at the centre of things. As said earlier, I've become a bit louder in recent years but still pretty quiet compared to some.

Back in school, people used to encourage me to be louder so I would friends more easily, but there is a difference between being loud and being socially adept. I've become more adept in recent years but can sometimes still feel lost in a crowd.

Generally I'm quiet but can be loud and boisterous when the occasion arises.

People remember me by my laugh...

I tend to be loud, but in some situations I am quiet.
