The "imminent" return of the Lord Jesus Christ is a Biblical doctrine. There are some Baptists who believe in the imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ, and some who don't.

IMHO, that's like asking the question "Are all Baptists born again?"

    I'm not so sure.

Jesus said in Rev 22:7, "Behold, I am coming soon." John recorded that 2,000 years ago.
At least two times in Revelation, he says "Behold, I come quickly." (3:11,22;12) That suggests that the events surrounding his coming will happen rapidly. This is not imminence.

And everybody who has predicted the imminent coming (Harold Camping, the Millerites, the Jehovah's Witnesses, among others) have been dead wrong.

Saying Jesus could come soon is quite different from saying he will come soon.

Then, maybe somebody will say that Jesus was right about coming soon, and he did. Anybody wanna take that position?
Oh, I forgot. It could have been a spiritual coming, not visible. So every eye really did not see him.

Believe that Baptists as a whole, as well as Biblical Christianity, hold that Jesus WILL have a future Second Coming, and that it can happen at any time on Gods timetable!

And no, no "invisible" Coming, believe that aspect of it is the Rapture, but the "real" Second Coming will be seen by all and evidenced on earth by jesus returning back on earth!

How about since it has only been a 1 about 3/4 of a day since Christ spoke those words it is imminent it will come quickly or soon, since one day to the Lord is as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day, then by God's timing it has been a very short time and He will be coming quickly in that aspect.
