The Catholic church is advocating this thing and they are in fact the authors of Islam. They both worship fatima. I don't know why anyone would be surprized over it. We are living in the last days.

    Another snipitt from the article...

The demons in hell are rejoicing.

I've just now sat here and come up with some new lyrics to the old song "God Bless America"...

    Here it is, sadly....

Preachers and believers (I use these terms loosely) that do this, if this is even true, are simply apostatizing from the Faith once delivered to the saints.

Let all the apostates come forth.

I'd say this is an extension of political correctness and tolerance that has infiltrated the church like leaven. The Gospel is becoming a "Gospel of Tolerance," i.e. accept every unrepentant soul as one in the same as us, drop your tenets of faith, or be scorned as a hater. This is one reason I say and hold that repentance is necessary, and is part of all tue believers salvation.

When we start throwing out tenets of the faith and necessary parts of salvation/soteriological truth, we better start asking ourselves what's at stake.

The above article shoud be enough to awaken anyone who believes otherwise.

Perhaps burning at the stake or beheading of those who oppose will be the mandate of this group of "tolerant" peoples.

Folks this was a blog post with no reference or substantiation. I would be careful coming to any conclusions.

This whole thing got started from "Aprising Ministries" ongoing campaign against Rick Warren.

It has been picked up by some, but it all winds back to that Aprising crew. I completely, completely challenge the claims in their criticism of Warren and others. They have no basis and it is just another of their lame attempts to go after a good man who is reaching people with the Gospel.

I know Warren isn't equally appreciated around here, but I still believe he is a good man doing a good work reaching people with the good Gospel.

According to what I have seen, Rick responded to this question on Twitter with "“@chadrob Chad, I’ve never heard of “Chrislam” There’s only 1 Gospel 1 Savior, 1 Way to heaven John 14:6, Eph. 2:8-9"

I do not share the appreciation of others with regard to much of his ministry. But we need to be clear and precise with facts when engaging with criticism. So far all I see is an unsubstantiated claim. This appears to be an unChristian smear.

Here's the list of sermons preached on the date (Feb 6 2011) at this church, Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church in Houston TX that allegedly is preaching "Christlam."

    http://www.mdpc2.org/cms/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=12&Itemid=215

Not one message shows this Christlam accusation. Go take a gander.

    Here is their main page:

    http://www.mdpc2.org/cms/

Also note, no "contact us" on pastor Mikes site, and no documented proof either.

Most fantastical slanderous websites have no "contact us" tab. Another like site is jesusislord.com. They don't want to be contacted to provide proof. Why? They can't.

    - Peace

I think the issue is that he is speaking of being able to get along and work for some social issues together. I don't necessarily agree with doing so but in some cases, you have no choice. But I'd certainly not want to attack any Muslim and would want to encourage our church members to love them and pray for them and preach the Gospel unless they ask us to stop - and then just live it. I don't see anything wrong with doing that but it seems some people always want to be at odds with those outside the body of Christ and look at them as the enemy.

For what it's worth, I actually know this church and several staff members. It's a good church with a good staff and good people. As you've noted there isn't an actual evidence to substantiate the accusation.

Right now, in their denomination, they are one of the few standing against the recent decisions about same s3x marriages among the clergy. We need their voice and need not slander them.
