This one looks to be more of a seminary level text, which means that most people will not read it, and if they do will comprehend little of it. This one like Metzger's Tell the Truth are more for academic audiences. But encase any of you has read this book what did you think?

This statement seems to bring defeat to the Way of the Master program. While I like Way of the Master, I notice that many (including the leadership) are very uneducated.

"The key to biblical evangelism is not strategy or technique. It is not primarily about style, methodology, or programs and pragmatics. The first and preeminent concern in all our evangelism efforts must be the gospel" (vii-ix). MacArthur and company focus on the message and our mandate to proclaim the "Good News" to the world.

I wonder how he incorporates his Lordship Salvation doctrine into his Gospel presentation.

It an inherent part of the gospel, so it shouldn't be hard.

Seeing as how Way of the Master is endorsed by Macarthur, I doubt that this is the case.

    I agree

Romans 10:9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (ESV)

Way of the Master is about a method. His book says its not about a Method.

Unless I miss MacArthur's intent completely, he is not offering yet another FACT, FIRE, FIRM, FARM, EE, CWT, Etc., he is dealing with the underlying theology of evangelism, which ALWAYS starts with God's sovereignty and the power of the Holy Spirit to convict and convince using frail and sinful humans who are faithful to speak forth that word of truth.

Greatest tool of evangelism? Prayer followed by speaking forth the gospel. Cannot make it more simple than that.

Everything else is but a method that may or may not work at the time for reasons known only to a sovereign God.

I disagree. Way of the Master is a formula, based on the Biblical gospel. The "Good Person Test" that is used by Way of the Master, is a method. But the Way of the Master is based upon calling people to repentance and faith, by showing them the absolute insufficiency of their own good works, and the absolute sufficiency of Christ's substitutionary payment on the sinners behalf. However, many of the Way of the Master folks (such as Todd Friel), do not use the Good Person test, exclusively...

Again, Macarthur endorses Way of The Master, so it would be absolutely strange and self contradictory for him to decry them.

Just because his book is not about a method does not suggest it defeats Way of the Master.
