    Beam Me Up,

    Can you tell me this, do Ruckmanites have the approcrypha in their 1611 KJV? Any sermons from Tobit? How about Bel and the Dragon?

    One thing I can say unequivocally, with certitude, and undoubtedly, is that the LORD led me to that Church.
    Now it so happens that while attending that Fundamentalist Baptist Church that I was also blessed by the Spirit
    and became Spirit-filled and Spiritually-minded.

    As my "eyes were opened" I began to see some of their "errors", however I was careful not to "offend" but continued to fellowship.
    So you could say that my journey began in the Spirit with the ability (gift) of discernment (separating the wheat from the chaff, so to speak). :thumbsup:

    Other than their irrational fear of a vast world-wide Jesuit conspiracy, and their embrace of Jack Chick's literature (related);
    and their belief that even the verse numbering designations in the KJB are by divine design, and their abhorrence of even mentioning the Septuagint,
    they are like any other "congregation" just seeking the LORD the best way they know how. :laugh:

    I do agree with you and I'm glad that you were able to escape from that teaching. Continue to pray for your former congregation that they will also escape from the bondage of the false teaching of the KJVO to the extreme and that they will instead find the true freedom that Christ offers us.

    I'm not sure what apocryphal books were included in the original 1611 translation, however, I did point out to them that
    there was some important information in Maccabees relating to the "original" Abomination of Deslolation in 167BC
    (don't throw the baby out with the bathwater :laugh: ).

    I dared not tell them that the early Christians used the Septuagint... that would be like holding a cross in front of Dracula. :tongue3:
