This thread is for Premillennial dispensationalists. Reformed and those that do not believe this way will not agree with this book and will complain and challenge. Please I am just interested in opinions from like minded brethren.

I Never Thought I’d See the Day!--Culture at the crossroads

    When Atheists Would Be Angry
When Christians Wouldn’t Know They Were In a War
When Jesus Would Be So Profaned
    When Marriage Would Be Obsolete
When Morality Would Be In Freefall
When the Bible Would Be Marginalized
When the Church Would Be Irrelevant
When A Muslim State Could Intimidate the World
When America Would Turn Her Back on Israel
When Changing Your Mind Would Change Your World

Looks like part 4 in David Jeremiah Biblical prophecy series. I have the other 3 and they are very very very good. I am still reading the last book. So what are your thoughts on the previous 3 Jeremiah books in the series? What of this one? I think it appears to be a good culture relevant book but I am interested in other views and thoughts.

I am pre-mil, pre-trib, dispy but have no use at all for newspaper prophecy.

Current events do point to the end times. The many famines and earthquakes and natural disasters we are having today cannot be ignored.

Remember, the signs shall be as birth pangs, which ordinarily don't come all at once, but begin lightly, growing in intensity and coming closer together as the time of birth approaches.

We have seen wars and rumors of wars for centuries. But nowadays, a little skirmish between clans in Goofoffistan gets more publicity than a major war of 500 years ago.

Some DEFINITE birth pangs are, of course, the rebirth of the Jewish state, with Jerusalem as its capital again, the land of Judah becoming a terror to Egypt(Isaiah 19) and Jerusalem's becoming a "burdensome stone" to mosta the world. But I hope no one tries to place any date on "the end", as this phase could end this afternoon, or many years from now. GOD made time meaningful for us, not for Himself.

Have you read Jeremiah's books? Read them and you will see that he did his homework. Jesus is coming real soon!

Newspapers, TV news etc area source of what is going on around the world. Had there been such things in Jesus time He would have made the newspapers in His fulfillment of prophecy.

He has been since John wrote 'even so come Lord Jesus.' I don't need Jeremiah's books (yes I have read a couple) or newspapers to convince me that Jesus may come back any instant. I have been ready for it since 1974 and am just as ready today, no matter what the news says!

    Maranatha!

So Jesus could not have come back till this batch of famines, earthquakes, and natural disasters?

I contend everything was set for His return since the angels said 'Why stand ye here gazing?'

The disciples were told to get busy and stop gazing - same thing we should be doing.

By the way I don't believe that the next thing on the calendar is the coming of the Lord. I believe there will be world unrest so as to set the stage for antichrist and the church will be removed, the antichrist revealed and a false peace for 3 1/2 years then 3 1/2 years of great tribulation (jacobs trouble). But the removal of the church is not the coming of the Lord. The rapture is the leaving of the church because of the calling of the Lord from heaven.
And yes I do believe what we are seeing today in the world and the falling away of the church is a precursor for the coming events, the rapture and the revealing of the antichrist then the 7 year tribulation period.
