I have one and no they're not. Lot's of broken type, leather quality is not that great.

Spend 200 and get an Allan.

Yes, also have an Oxford Genuine Morroco. It's like having a bonded leather Bible compared to the Allan.

I've had a couple of each, in the wide margin editions. They all have done well. Only problem after some years the pages are all full of notes and I have to get another one. But for lasting and a lot of use I have a Ryrie Study Bible, KJV by Moody that I bought in the 70's and it is still going strong. I take it to church when I'm not speaking, easy to read and room for notes. Also have a Scofield by Oxford with I use a good amount and I bought it around 1967.
I just had a person last year give me an Allen KJV and it seems to be a nice Bible. But I haven't begun to use it yet.

A 1945 copy of a Cambridge KJV. Still going strong, except a few pages have come free (Gen 26). It has been my study and preaching Bible, loaded with notes and corrections.

    Cheers,

    Jim
