We are fast approaching the 10th anniversary of the 9/11/01 national catastrophe. In the days and weeks that followed this tragedy, patriotism was rampant, "God Bless America" signs and banners were everywhere, and Americans were unified in a way unequaled since December 7, 1941.

What, if anything, are you and/or your church going to do to commemorate this day?

Our town may have something but having heard anything as of yet. As far as I know, our church is not having anything. This would seem to be more of a national/patriotic event rather than anything spiritual.

Our church is having a "We Remember" Sunday that day. We need to remember that, if America is to be blessed, it is God who will be the One that blesses her.

I don't mean to be a kill joy here-----but as of right now I have no plans to commerate the day as far as special recognition is concerned

Neither do I commerate Pearl Harbor Day

    I don't commerate V-E Day

    I don't commerate V-J Day

But I'm still a patriot at large----and would not hesitate for a moment to become an American Minuteman just like our forefathers of old who stood on the shores of the Atlantic and watched those British navel vessels gettin' smaller and smaller and smaller on the eastern horizon

Says one minute man to the other

    Reckon they'll be back??

Maybe---maybe not---but we'll be here if ever they do decide they want some more of us!!!:laugh:
