Ken Blackwell: Obama's War On The Secret Ballot

    Monday, August 29, 2011
By Ken Blackwell and Clint Bolick

The Obama Administration has fired its opening salvo against a cornerstone of democracy: the right to secret ballot.

Last fall, voters in four states voted overwhelmingly to amend their constitutions protect the right of workers to vote by secret ballot in deciding whether or not to form unions. That right has been enshrined in federal law for 75 years but is threatened by bills pending in Congress.

Nonetheless, the Obama National Labor Relations Board has filed a lawsuit against Arizona seeking to halt its protection of the right to secret ballot.

    SNIP

Why is the Obama Administration taking such a profoundly anti-democratic position? The answer is simple: it’s pay-off time for the massive labor union support Barack Obama received in the 2008 election.

Well it is hard to know who to strong arm and intimidate if you don't know how everyone voted.

I thought the cornerstone of American Democracy was the New England town meeting where issues were settled by counting raised hands.

That would have been before union thugs started intimidating and assaulting people that vote differently than the union wants.

Well, that shows the "democrats are for the poor and weak" idea is an outright lie! Way to go Mr. Wald, for showing your own hypocrisy!

Yes, according to Bill, if you are small, vulnerable, and worried about being beaten up or killed, you don't get to vote. You only get to vote if you are a thug and a bully..
