A decade of war started, and both fueled & fought by the same corporate-financier interests.

    By Tony Cartalucci

From the beginning, even for those wanting to believe the fairy tale that 9/11 was carried out by cave dwellers carrying box cutters directed by Osama Bin Laden, who by all accounts was dying or already dead from kidney failure in 2001 - "unfortunate blunders" in US foreign policy can still be blamed for the creation and perpetuation of the ubiquitous, unceasing terror organization known as Al Qaeda. However, in light of recent events in Libya, Syria, Iran, and Algeria, there is exposed a truth, many have known for over 10 years, and many more are catching onto now - that the "War on Terror" is an absolute fraud, started, fueled and simultaneously fought against by the same handful of corporate-financier interests for the sole purpose of spreading Wall Street and London's hegemony across the globe.

Inception: Al Qaeda Made in USA

By all accounts, including admissions by former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates and former National Security Adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski, Osama Bin Laden's organization that would become Al Qaeda was created during the Soviet-Afghan war in in the late 70's and throughout the 80's. The funding of these militants did not begin after the Soviet invasion, but actually several years before the invasion. US intervention in Afghanistan by training and arming Afghanistan's Mujaheddin, along with Osama Bin Laden's Arab fighters, is one of the leading factors that led to the murderous and protracted decade-long war, according to the Nation in an article titled, "Blowback, the Prequel."

    < snip >

From Heroes to Villains, and Back Again

In the 80's when the CIA was fueling Afghanistan's decade-long war with the Soviet Union, in part provoked by US meddling in the region years before the invasion even took place, the Mujaheddin were portrayed as heroes and freedom fighters quite publicly. No better example can be cited of how this image was nurtured by the West's massive propaganda machine than Hollywood's Rambo III, an entire movie literally dedicated to the "gallant people of Afghanistan." Many of those that fought in Afghanistan, particularly foreign fighters armed, trained, and brought in by the CIA, would go on to become some of the world's most notorious terrorist groups, many of which are listed to this day on the US and UK foreign terrorist organization lists.

    < snip >

And even as US forces occupy Afghanistan for their tenth year, with fighting reaching unprecedented levels of violence, Afghanistan's LIFG Libyan cohorts are receiving US and British air support, French and Qatari arms, billions in aid, NATO special forces assistance, and full diplomatic recognition by the US State Department and the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, as they rise up against Qaddafi in Libya. It must be noted that these Libyan rebels, who like the Afghan Mujahedin were portrayed as "freedom fighters," are in fact led and consist almost entirely of LIFG militants, many of whom have spent time in Iraq and Afghanistan killing US troops. It should be noted that LIFG is listed by the US Stated Department (#26) and the UK Home Office as a foreign terrorist organization.

This is a narrative that first saw these militants as heroes, then the world's most scorned villains for nearly a decade of war, before emerging out the other side once again as heroes. For the thousands of US troops who have died in Iraq and Afghanistan, the tens of thousands maimed, and the hundreds of millions of Americans facing a bankrupted nation that has paid trillions for this "War on Terror" to unproportionately wealthy mega-corporations and banks, it is becoming clear that they were taken for a ride by a shadowy elite with an obscure agenda masked in a now unraveling veil of lies.

Hmmmm? I hope you all understand that being silent won't make the reality of this total and complete fraud go away. All the flag waving in the world and all the name calling aimed at those of us who have been against this giant global scam from the begining isn't going to make the reality of it just dry up and blow away.

Trillions are being spent on it bankrupting our nation.

Thousands upon thousands are dying and being maimed and made homeless because of it.

The terrorists we claim to be fighting are being armed with modern weapons and trained in warfare by the very people who keep telling us how important it is to continue this fraud.

How can you all sit there in silence? How many thousands or millions of people have to die for the benefit of a few before you'll break your silence, I wonder?

Stupid Americans think we are free because we can own guns and vote for our tax collectors. Exactly why should our owners care if we own guns and vote for our tax collectors? We only shoot each other, not them.

Meanwhile back at the fraud ranch . . .

Libya’s leader Muammar Qaddafi has managed to survive and put up fierce resistance for now half a year against NATO aggression and their Al Qaeda led rebel forces on the ground. Tripoli is still unsecured, and entire cities still stand firmly in defiance against constant NATO bombing and multiple attempts by “thousands” of rebels to surround and starve out cities. Libyans have also now fended off several full fledged assaults by an increasingly disorganized rebel army on the cities of Sirte and Bani Walid.

The cracks are beginning to show in NATO’s proxy army, the so-called Libyan rebels hailing from Libya’s eastern Cyrenaica region, notorious as the most concentrated recruiting ground for international terrorism on earth and the home of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG), listed as a foreign terrorist organization by both the US State Department and the UK Home Office. In recent weeks, it has become impossible for the corporate media and NATO to hide the fact that the rebels are being led by LIFG commanders. It is also increasingly impossible to hide these terrorists’ atrocities as they literally exile or exterminate entire cities. The London Telegraph has finally admitted in short that the rebels are in fact genocidal racists. In the Telegraph’s article “Gaddafi’s ghost town after the loyalists retreat,” it is reported that rebels have taken the city of Tawarga, where the entire civilian population was either killed, rounded up, or exiled, all motivated by a “racist undercurrent.”

However, one thing NATO is still trying to hide, with the full cooperation of the corporate media, is that they are now on the eve of their September 19 deadline requiring their campaign to once again go in front of the UNSC for review. UK and France’s Cameron and Sarkozy were allegedly in Tripoli along side warmongering imposter “intellectual” Bernard-Henri Levy, to quickly cement their open-ended commitment to the Benghazi terrorists, so as to permanently head off any previously self-imposed deadlines. Like the entire UN resolution, the deadline and review[IMG]process were there merely for show, and turn out to be yet another self-contrived mechanism to lend credibility and legitimacy for an otherwise illegitimate military intervention. Libyan rebel leader Mustafa Abdel Jalil could be seen walking literally arm-in-arm with Sarkozy and Cameron, with Levy skulking in the background, a truly disparaging, disgraceful, and treasonous imperial display for the entire continent of Africa, which is now standing once again on the edge of Western recolonization.

    CONTINUE . . .

When Lois Griffin gets elected mayor of Quahog by pandering to the stupidest and most meaningless references to 9/11, audiences roar. But when that same scenario is replayed over and over again in a largely successful attempt to separate people from their intellect, their conscience and their instinct for self-preservation, no one apparently even knows what's happening. Never Forget! Shriek the flag-wavers and cheerleaders of empire, as if such a thing were even possible.

For the past ten years, every march to war, every Free Speech Zone, every step in the criminalization of dissent--the whole ball of wax has been accompanied at every turn by the mindless repetition, the fear-and-fascism-drenched threat not to question or even think too deeply, because "9/11 changed *everything.*" There is a blunt and chilling meme floating around facebook and other internet fora, subscribed either to the Palestinians or some other victims of empire's vented rage to avenge the events of that day: "Your 9/11 is our 24/7."

Yet Americans so lack the capacity for self-reflection that we apparently prefer to continue to see ourselves as eternal victims instead of the initiators of one insane war after another.

In all of the parades, all of the cheers, the self-congratulatory pomp and circumstance with which Americans greeted the supposed murder of Osama Bin Laden (seen instead with horror by much of the world), there was nary a glimmer of the careful introspection one might expect from mature adults. Instead, there seems to be this constant recapitulation of the above scene from Family Guy. No questions asked, no effective movement against the wars, no real interest at all in grasping the long range consequences of the actions of our government. Nothing, really, beyond the throwaway line, "How much will it cost so we can feel safe again..?"

It is a truly frightening and depressing time to be alive. The political system is so warped that the two monopoly political "parties" in the US, who pretend to represent different interests, are in collusion on all the most basic questions of the day in service to the corporate interests who pay for their elections. Worse, the electorate has still not caught on, rendering ever more prescient Jay Gould's famous boast that he "could hire one half of the working class to kill the other half." Indeed, people are so bamboozled that our political circus continues unmolested, focusing on non-issue distractions like the debt ceiling and cutting the deficit (while still spending more on war than all the other countries in the world combined....!). Even worse, the so-called "left" allows itself to be lulled to sleep by the charm of a Democrat president, a black man no less, whose actions would have been vigorously and rightly opposed were there an R after his name instead of a D. What a farce.

But let's not get ahead of ourselves. When history repeats itself, it is, a famous German once said, to be as tragedy before farce. And we are so deep in blood from the needless death and suffering our governments have caused in the name of avenging 9/11 that it would be presumptuous to skip over the enormous tragedy still in the making. More than a million people have been killed in the pursuit of our seemingly unquenchable blood lust. It is as if Americans, completely convinced that we are always wearing the White Hats, have no notion of scale or balance at all. In the scheme of things, and with even a cursory glance at the record, it is painfully obvious that the destruction wrought by US foreign policy absolutely dwarfs any destruction wrought on the United States itself. But of course it has always been true that the goals of empire are floated on rivers of blood--just not that of the imperialsits themselves. As Robert Emment famously said to the judge who sentenced him to die, "...if it were possible to collect all the innocent blood that you have shed in your unhallowed ministry, in one great reservoir. Your Lordship might swim in it."

The Atlantic Council claims to be a "preeminent, non partisan institution devoted to promoting transatlantic cooperation and international security." It is partnered with NATO and sponsored financially by some of Wall Street and London's largest, most powerful corporate-financier interests. These include many of the big oil interests poised to reap a whirlwind of profits over NATO-backed regime change in Libya, namely BP, Chevron, Exxon, and Shell. It also includes defense contractors already enriched by the protracted bloodshed in Northern Africa including Raytheon, BAE, SAAB Technologies, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, General Dynamics, and Northrop Grumman. Additionally, the world's largest banks and equity firms sponsor Atlantic Council, including Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank, Barclays Capital, the Blackstone Group, Citigroup, and Credit Suisse Bank. There is also a tremendous amount of foundation support, each with a nefarious back-story worthy of their own thorough examination, including the Carnegie Corporation of New York , the Ford Foundation, and billionaire bankster George Soros' Open Society Institute.

Photos: (Top) Northrup Grumman's MQ-8 Fire Scout, which made headlines as it was shot down over Libya. (Below) a Raytheon Tomahawk cruise missile, employed during the opening phases of NATO's military intervention in Libya beginning in March of 2011. Both Northrup Grumman and Raytheon, amongst many other defense contractors are financial sponsors of the Atlantic Council, an epicenter providing political and rhetorical support for NATO's ongoing operations in Libya - exposing an astronomical conflict of interest.

    ....

But perhaps most alarming is the Council's sponsorship by a large representation from "reputable" news and media agencies, including Thomson Reuters, News Desk Media, Bloomberg (which includes BusinessWeek), and Google.

Such an elaborate, full-spectrum conflict of interest should be alarming to even the most adamant supporters of the current NATO operation in Libya. We see all of the mechanics necessary to generate the justification for regime change through media, public, and political channels, the military might to carry out the war, and the corporate-financier organizations to fully manipulate and exploit the freshly installed regime, all integrated into a single organization. Without a doubt, the Atlantic Council has pledged unwavering support for the NATO operation, with the post, "Well Done, NATO!" perhaps the most obvious indication that not only is the Council amidst an immense conflict of interest but committing a full range of improprieties stemming from it.

What we do know is how desperate the corporate-financier elite are and how absolute their control is over the mainstream media. Such a large, wide scale disinformation campaign is only possible if each news agency, from AP, Reuters, BBC, Guardian, Telegraph, New York Times, CNN, Al Jazeera and others, are completely compromised by corporate-financier interests. The following lists show that indeed many of these "news agencies" share consortium memberships with some of the largest corporate-financier interests on earth presenting an immense conflict of interest obviously producing astronomically duplicitous improprieties.

    Council on Foreign Relations
    Chatham House (Major Corporate Members)
    Chatham House (Corporate Members)
    Chatham House (Corporate Partners)
Brookings Institution (page 20 of Annual Report)

When we see Reuters sitting side-by-side oil giants like BP, Exxon, Chevron within the halls of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Chatham House and then see reports gloating over Western oil companies moving in to replace Chinese and Russian investments in Libya, their duplicity and lack of independence in their reporting becomes glaringly obvious. These media organizations are in fact PR fronts for the Fortune 500 and their collective goal of implementing a global empire, nation to nation. For now, they are currently obsessed over Libya and the implications its conclusion will have on their future planned conquests, the next being Syria.

It would be a good idea for those following the current NATO murder spree in Libya to abandon any trust in Reuters, BBC, CNN, MSNBC, CBS, NBC, ABC, and any of the "reputable" newspapers wasting paper and space on our nations' newsstands, all of whose fates are tied directly to the corporate-financier interests pinning their hopes on a NATO victory in Libya. Instead, we must commit ourselves to vetting reliable alternative news sources as well as committing ourselves to the responsibility of researching the news of the day on our own. Let this be proof positive as to how essential it is to boycott and replace everything eminating from the Fortune 500 including their army of professional liars also known as the "mainstream media."

    CONTINUE . . .

The overwhelming evidence of a global corporate conspiracy clearly out matches any and all of the slander and personal attacks you boy's can muster. Give it up you're in "over your heads" on this as or new friend Funny Fundy Pat would say.
