Do you pray for him, as per the Bible?

What do you ask God to do for/with him?

Do you view as a Brother in the Lord?

    I pray for his salvation.
I pray that he would have wisdom to lead.

    No

These questions are strange, lacking in many ways and almost like they're leading up to an argument but I answered them.

Yes, I pray for the president that first and foremost that he would give his life to the Lord. According to his own testimony, he's not a believer. I pray then that God would use him to lead our country safely and that He would give him wisdom to do his very hard job.

just asking IF we are heeding the command of God to pray for those whom he has placed in authority over us, as I see that some Christians refused to do such for pres bush, while others not praying for pres obahma!

I pray for him daily. As a church, we pray for him at our prayer meeting.

We pray that God would turn his heart and the heart of our country towards righteousness. We pray for God's wisdom to be his decision making paradigm.

I have no idea whether he is a brother in the Lord. Whether he is or he is not, it wouldn't change what I pray for him at all and wouldn't change my policy disagreements with him at all.

    Yes.

Wisdom, insight, protection from evil influences, righteous leadership, etc.

I do not presume to know where he stands in regard to Christ.

I remember him in my daily prayers during my morning disciplines.

I simply pray for protection, wisdom, discernment, and encouragement for both he and his family. Since he has stated he is a believer I take him at his word.

There us, IMHO, no reason to pray imprecatory prayers against him.

Yes I have prayed for him.

I ask God to direct him in a manner that will fulfill God's purpose through him.

I am on the fence with the presidents claim of being a Christian. I do give him the benefit of the doubt since I don’t have enough information to make a clear judgment, but if I met him I would also preach the word to him about salvation and what follows in life of those who are really saved.

    Yes.
That he would do that which is right in God's eyes and not that which is evil. That God keeps His hedge of protection around him. That God will send someone to tell him the plan of salvation if he isn't a believer that he would trust Christ.

Then I also pray for him that Psalms 109:8 would apply. Not for death of course but one term.
Psalms 109:8 Let his days be few; and let another take his office.

So I pray that God will raise up a fiscal conservative christian to take his place by defeating him in the next election.

Yes, I pray for Obama. I pray that God will save his soul and teach him humility and wisdom. I pray that God would soften his heart and have him lead my country the way it SHOULD be led.

I pray that his term ends prematurely. I'm not choosy about the method God may use to remove him.

Good to see our politics are still firmly informing our prayer habits.

I must admit that I fail to pray for the president regularly. I have prayed for him some, and when I do, I ask God to grant him wisdom and to guide his decisions.

All in all, my prayer life is inadequate, so it's not necessarily a matter of intentionally not praying for the president. It's a matter of being lazy and/or sporadic in my prayer life.

However, my political beliefs don't really have any effect on the frequency or kind of prayers.

I don't honestly think about Obama in terms of being a Christian or not.

So-so, to be honest...not as badly as it could be going, but not as well as it should be going.

Think ALL of us here can relate to that!

My problem is go through seasons where easy to pray to god, but hard to study bible, others times hard to witness, great to read Bible!

Think important to stay connected in your church body during times like this!

That's part of the problem. We are going through a difficult time in our church, too, so that complicates matters.

Yes and we have brought it on ourselves.
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
