Is there any real difference between MAN and BEAST?

The recent tread about animals going to heaven brings up an important question regarding the free will of man.

In the Calvinistic system what real difference is there between the choices and nature of man and that of animals?

    1. Both are born "spiritually dead" in the sense that the spirit is not a factor in either the man or the animal.

    2. Neither can understand and respond to God's appeal to be reconciled through faith.

    3. Both act according to their natural desires from birth...in that both do "what they want" according to the nature God gave them from birth.

The only difference seems to be that the man has to spend eternity suffering in hell for being born a man instead of a dog.

    What say you?

1 Cor. 15:21,22 for since through man the death, also through man a rising again of the dead, for even as in Adam all die, so also in the Christ all shall be made alive,

Is there anything in the word of God concerning the resurrection of animals?

Ponder. Since through man, also through man
For as in (man) Adam, so also in (man) the Christ

1 Cor 15:16-18 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: And if Christ be not raised, your faith vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. (As the above animals.) (However)
Romans 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. (There is a contrast here between what his death did and what His resurrected life will do.) Titus 3:5 by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit; (Was done for Jesus that we might receive it)

Where does the word of God speak of life apart from resurrection from the dead?

I don't think I got beyond your lead in and should have posted under the animals thread. I guess been to long ago.

    Two things:

    1. The simple logical conclusions to the Calvinist system can be pretty humorous somtimes.

    2. It also give me a chuckle to think about you sitting and coming up with these questions.

They usually come to me while reading other's works or sometimes comments made in other threads.

But, seriously, if Calvinism is true it would be better to be born a dog than a reprobate, huh? Both make choices according to their inborn desires, but one is tortured for eternity for it while the other isn't. Interesting.
