Seems to me the apostles missed the perfect opportunity to tell us gentile Christians to keep the sabbath, tithe, abstain from pork and shrimp, ect, ect, ect.

I believe the 7th Day Adventists obey the Sabbath.

Actually no one today obeys the sabbath including the most orthodox of Jews. Yes they claim they do, but in truth they do not. The sabbath is a lot more then a day set aside to attend church. By the way there are seventh day Baptists. The people who claim to keep the Sabbath have excuses as to why they do not obey all that is required if you point out what the scriptures teach on the matter. What they do is decide what part they can comfrontably obey and then claim they keep the Sabbath.

Most Christians, historically too, don't observe the sabbath. It is part of the old covenant.

Instead most Christians do observe a day of rest on Sunday. Though not from a covenantal or sacramental standpoint.

Oh and the Jerusalem Council point is excellent.:)

If anyone observes the Sabbath like they did in the days before Christ came, they better be buying oxen, sheep, goats, turtledoves, putting blood on their right earlobe, thumb, and big toe, wearing bells around the base of their clothes, burn inscense(sp?), carry an Ark of the Covenant with them, pack a portable Tabernacle, etc.

Christ did away with these things when He hung, bled, and died, and was risen on the third and appointed morning.

IOW, we do not treat one day differently than the others now.

So it would be correct to say the sabbath is STILL the same as it was in OT, just for isreal to observe today, while the Church celebrates Suinday as the 'Lords day"

sabbath did NOT change to Sunday, but still just for the jewish peoples today?

The Sabbath was a day of rest. The Sabbath day is the same as the day has never changed from the 7th day. However even if Israel does not accept their Sabbath rest, which is in Christ not a day, seeking to keep the day is of no avail as they would not be taking a true rest. So for now the Sabbath has been set aside since we are now in the church age. However the Sabbath will be re-instated during the time of the Millennium reign of Christ as well as sacrafices. The only way to keep the Sabbath rest today is to come to Christ. So today the Sabbath day is for no one, however Christ is for everyone as He is the Sabbath rest.
    Ezekiel 46:1-3
This is what the Sovereign LORD says: “The gate of the inner court facing east is to be shut on the six working days, but on the Sabbath day and on the day of the New Moon it is to be opened. The prince is to enter from the outside through the portico of the gateway and stand by the gatepost. The priests are to sacrifice his burnt offering and his fellowship offerings. He is to worship at the threshold of the gateway and then go out, but the gate will not be shut until evening. On the Sabbaths and New Moons the people of the land are to worship in the presence of the LORD at the entrance to that gateway.”
    Here is a good explaination of the sabbath rest;

You have all given some good verses, and here are some other Scriptures to consider:

Exodus 31:12-17 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you. 14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. 15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. 16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. 17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

I believe God makes it clear the Sabbath was between Him and Israel. This is a serious issue nowadays as I've been told there are even Baptist Churches getting drawn into this confusion over whether we are still supposed to meet on the Sabbath [Saturday]. What's confusing to me is how people can be so Biblically illiterate!

Colossians 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

Remember that originally, as I understand it, people weren't even allowed to leave their homes on the Sabbath, so it would be difficult for me to understand how they can justify going to Church on the Sabbath? There are several websites btw which study this point both directions. I've listened to John MacArthur teach on this issue and he makes the point that, in Scripture, the disciples met with Jesus on the first day of the week 3 consecutive weeks after the resurrection, and have been meeting on the first day ever since.....God bless

Think the confusion on this comes from those who try to support notion that the sabbath became Sunday by the Church establishing it...

Sabbath still the same as always, given unto isreal, while the Church had sunday, resurrection day...

What is interesting is that the Apostles relisted somewhere 9 of the 10 Commandments as what Christians should follow, but left out the sabbath!

That makes sense IF Church and isreal still distinct in plans of God!
