I think Newt would be good for the country IF he could beat Obama.

But yea, he has skeletons, I expect the attacks to begin now that he's in the spotlight.

I still say it's going to be Romney in the end.

I'd never support a faux believer like New Gingrich.

....and if it comes down to a vote between Obama and Newt? What? Are you going to abstain?

If Newt found himself winning the GOP nomination----I'd vote for him in a "New York Second"!!!!!

Considering the alternative, skeletons are acceptable.

You may be right, by sticking to principles irregardless. I might just follow suit, there's only so much I can stomach:

He's sharp and he's savvy, an OLD political war horse, but there is a point where integrity and virtue has to be considered, even with a politician.

The thought occurred to me that Newt reminds me of a bulldog, much like Churchill must have been, and so on a whim I googled and lo and behold at least one other sees the similatity (I don't agree with all his conclusions though):

    Is Newt Gingrich America's Churchill?

It always comes down to just two globalists.

Global R or globalist D, which do you prefer?

The ole ice cream close on a national scale. Again. Lick it up y"all.

This cinches it for me. Newt, NOT:

"Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich called for replacing the leadership of Iran and said that could be accomplished within a year, adopting a more aggressive posture toward the U.S. adversary than advocated by the rest of the Republican field or by President Barack Obama."

On the matter of MORE WAR, I'll stick to my principles which are in total agreement with the good Dr. Paul:

“The moral and constitutional obligations of our representatives in Washington are to protect our liberty, not coddle the world, precipitating no-win wars, while bringing bankruptcy and economic turmoil to our people.”- Ron Paul

“When the federal government spends more each year than it collects in tax revenues, it has three choices: It can raise taxes, print money, or borrow money. While these actions may benefit politicians, all three options are bad for average Americans.”- Ron Paul

“Deficits mean future tax increases, pure and simple. Deficit spending should be viewed as a tax on future generations, and politicians who create deficits should be exposed as tax hikers.”- Ron Paul

“I will always vote what I have promised, and always vote the Constitution, as well as I will not vote for one single penny that isn't paid for, because debt is the monster, debt is what's going to eat us up and that is why our economy is on the brink.”- Ron Paul

“In time it will become clear to everyone that support for the policies of pre-emptive war and interventionist nation-building will have much greater significance than the removal of Saddam Hussein itself.”- Ron Paul
