Dr. Tom Nettles Honored with Essay Volume

    All who have read, or heard, or been to a conference where Dr. Tom Nettles of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary present, know of his reputation for the "Doctrines of Grace" we call the Gospel.

    He has just been presented with a volume of essays in his honor. I would like to call you attention to the volume and ask you to consider reading it, along with all of his other works. They (he has) have helped to define who the SBC is in the last three decades.

    I looked at the article. It was short enough not to need a genuine perusal. I won't be able to afford that book for a while. I have appreciated Dr. Nettles very much through his writings. I have not been privileged to attend any of his speaking engagements. Thanks for passing this along Rhet.

    I hope I didn't "nettle" you with those spelling corrections. Yes,pun intended.

    Dr. Nettles is one of the intellectual giants among Southern Baptists today.

    In the last few months, he has taken on a new assignment. He's writing the Sunday School lessons (Explore the Bible Series) for the Founders website.

    For SS teachers who use Lifeway's teaching materials, his teacher helps are excellent.
