    As Jesus said merely in Acts that it was not the time for it to go to Isreal, and Peter on pentacost said that by rejecting Messiah, God reserved Him back in heaven until "the time of the restoration of all thiongs", which to jewish ears would have meant messiah returning and establishing the promised Kingdom to come!

    When did the Church replace isreal in plans of God?

    right here...when the King came to Zion;
    43Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. 44And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

    45And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them.

    The Church is Israel now......The heavenly Jerusalem is now the Holy City.

    learn what this passage is speaking about;
    [QUOTE24Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.

    25For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.

    26But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. 27For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.

    28Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.

    29But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

    30Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.

    31So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

    The church NEVER replaced Israel!!!!!

    Just because the Jews rejected the Messiah (as the Scriptures indicate they would - see Isaiah 53) doesn't mean that he is through with the people called by His name.

    Throughout the Old Testament, the prophets spoke clearly of the "rebirth" of the nation of Israel that would be no longer divided by tribes and clans groups, but as a single people.

    The Scriptures also discuss how the people would be drawn (think of a fish hook and a fish caught- it doesn't come willingly but it does end up in the boat) back to the land.

    God is not finished with Israel for "all Israel shall be saved" and that isn't speaking of the church.

    Didn't Paul cover this in Romans ch. 9, 10 & 11?

    11:23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in:
    for God is able to graft them in again.

    11:25-27 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery,
    lest ye should be wise in your own conceits;
    that blindness in part is happened to Israel,
    until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in
    .
    And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written,
    There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and
    shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
    For this is my covenant unto them,
    when I shall take away their sins.

    Acts 13:45-47
    45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.

    46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

    47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.

    Acts 18:1-6
    Acts 18
    1 After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth;

    2 And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them.

    3 And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers.

    4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.

    5 And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ.

    6 And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean; from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.

    Here are two instances where the Jews confronted Paul's teachings, and in the process, blasphemed. Now, I do not know if they blasphemed the Spirit or not, but by their continual rejection, they were cut off. And you see where they turned to the Gentiles in both of this instances.

    God used the hardnes of the jewish people on the whole who rejected Christ in order to have Him offered unto the gentiles for their Messiah now also...

    Did NOT replace Isreal , but brought in the gentiles due to their stubborn hearts!

    Those who hold to replacement theology work around that by stating that Jesus will NOT be returning to earth to set up the Millenium, as IF he was to do that, would mean that all Isreal getting saved would indeed be those jewish peoples alive on earth at that time!

    Or can be covenant theology, stating that ONLY refers to spiritual isreal, now the Church of God!

    That was basis of my OP...

    Isreal referred to being the jews still in Acts, who changed that to mean otherwise?

    Those "a millennial" thinking folk are wrong.

    They were at one time thinking the world would get better and better until the church ushered in the kingdom - "For the darkness shall turn to the dawning, and the dawning to noon day light, and Christ's great kingdom shall come on earth, the kingdom of love and light."

    But then, the first quickly followed by the second great world wars came. And then technology exploding with ever "new and improved" and on it goes.

    Kind of took the "a" out of the millennial choices except those who just have to hang on to tradition for tradition sake.

    Now of course some chase after the pre-wrath view that Christ has already come.

    Anything but the truth that Christ is coming for the church, there will be a time of tribulation culminating in a series of battles called Armageddon, and then the millennial reign of Christ.

    "They will look upon him whom they pierced..."
