    I read Michael Yousef's new book last night and he discusses Islam a lot. He gives out statistics about how England has turned into a Muslim nation almost, that more people attend Mosques then churches. He quotes several Muslim men in America that state they are taking over America from within if not from outside. You can see it in Michigan very well since they now have a Muslim Congressman and many Muslim communities where they are demanding Sharia law be the rule.

    Our wonderful leader BO is a Muslim sympathizer and deep down is anti-Christian. We have to hide all symbols of the Christian faith but allow Muslims to display anything they want or desire. There is even beginning to be bias against Christians in all aspects of AMerican life.

    I'm afraid the Christian community will lay down and let them take over. We are an apathetic church these days and we have few men who will stand up for Christ and our Christian nation. That is right, we are a Christian nation and if they don't like it they can leave it.

    My question is; what will be 10-20 years from nowm, what are we going to leave our children and grandchildren?

    Honestly, I feel in 10 - 20 years we might be a world theocracy, with king Jesus sitting upon the throne in the early portion of the millennial reign.

    Just look at what is happening around the world with anti-Christian sentiments, desecration of churches and cemetries.....it is happening and it is happening right now.

    But yes I pray that the Lord Jesus will be enthroned in his rightful place at the head of human society, we after all are His creatures.

    I have never come across an instance of someone going to a mosque for a service, and then going along to a Christian church service. :)

    But seriously, assuming that your "then" was a typo for "than", statistics can be used in various ways. In this case, the statistic that (apparently) more people in England attend mosques than church services would (in my view) have to be twisted to make it mean that England (sic - I think you probably mean the United Kingdom, but no matter) "has turned into a Muslim nation almost". The question is, what do by far the majority of people in the UK do rather than attend the services of any religion? From my own experience and observation, the list would include things like washing the car, going shopping, going to watch, or partake in, a sports event or a concert, doing DIY jobs, watching television, etc. In other words, by far the majority of UK people who do not attenbd church services will noty be found in a mosque either.

    Another statistic is that in our 2001 Census, 71% of the population claimed to be Christian. (I'm not suggesting for one moment that 71% actually are Christians, knowing the Lord Jesus Christ personally to be their Saviour, but a person who was a Muslim would hardly be likely to say on a census form that they were Christian).

    Let me reassure you that the UK is certrainly not "a Muslim nation almost". Sadly though, the greatest "god" seems to be that of materialism.

    David,

    I did make a typo, I should have written "than". I'm sorry to disagree but there are more English attending Muslim worship than there are Christian worship. I know a Pastor who attended seminary in Scotland and he afirms this sad statistic. He said most English churches are no more. I just hope it never happens here. Do we have strong enough Christians to make a stand?

    Thanks, SolaSaint! Sorry but I think you have misunderstood what I was trying to say. I was not trying to suggest that in the UK there are more people in Christian church services than in mosques - that may or may not be so; I don't have the figures. (Nor incidentally do I have figures to confirm or deny your friend's statement that "most English churches are no more.")

    What I meant was that by far the majority of people in the UK do not attend the services of any religion, so that (in my view) it is wrong to suggest that the UK "has turned into a Muslim nation almost". A materialistic nation almost, yes, and that to me is just as sad.

    The demographics are clear for Europe. Liberal influences and the advent of "the pill" made the replacement rate for family lower than necessary for the historical European to survive. Within the next 20 years or so, most of Europe will become Islamic by nature of the birth rates without a shot being fired.

    In America we have a similar problem, but it is a bit delayed. In around 50 years the Latino population will become the majority. Their worldview is easier to deal with than what the Europeans will find once Islam becomes the majority, but as Europe, with all its vast resources, goes, so goes the world.

    The trend could yet be reversed in America, we still have a large enough viable population, but with abortion on demand removing 20+ million of our children who likely would raise families, the advent of the gay movement which makes it culturally and politically feasible to live an alternative lifestyle, and the birth control methods used by most couples so as to hold down the population growth, both for cultural means (don't want to over-fill the planet) and personal financial means (we can have a better lifestyle if we only have one or two children) will all combine to hold the replacement birthrate below that needed to hold a majority in our own nation.

    Neither Muslims nor Latinos traditionally allow or practice the same sort of liberally-driven birth control or alternative lifestyle issues that drive small family in America or Europe.

    There is a good chance that the western nations will corrupt Islam with our freedom and consumer mentality.

    Bill, I will warn you only 1,951 more times - we must stop agreeing! :smilewinkgrin: You just might be right especially on the consumer mentality.
    I heard that in Vietnam a GI could leave a brand new "boom box" in the middle of a jungle village, leave it for a week - come back and it would still be there. But he could take that same boom box to Saigon - and the city dwellers would steal the radio and leave the music.

    Why American Freedom is in its Eleventh Hour

    A well-known self-destructive cycle of democratic behavior has been attributed to an eighteenth century historian by the name of Alexander Tytler. Whether Tytler is the original author or not, the concept of democratic self-destruction has been proven accurate, right here in America.

    “From bondage to spiritual faith;
    From spiritual faith to great courage;
    From courage to liberty;
    From liberty to abundance;
    From abundance to complacency;
    From complacency to apathy;
    From apathy to dependence;
    From dependence back into bondage.”

    The cycle identifies eight stages of a process which demonstrates exactly how history tends to repeat itself. America finds itself in the seventh stage as it heads into the 2008 election, where it will decide whether or not to leap headlong into stage eight. Here’s how it happened and what the 2008 election is really all about.
