Leno on Paul....(simply my opinion)

.....it is apparent, from the taping of the Leno Show last night, who Jay is supporting in the GOP race.

The following is not an invitation for debate. It is merely my opinion of Dr. Paul per his conversation with Jay Leno. :type:

Of all the candidates, he's interviewed, Paul was granted a full 28-minute portion of the show.

Jay has been known to throw his support behind political candidates in the past, and while they may have good points, we must not forget the "man-crush" Leno had on the Guber-nator (Arnold), and Arnold's swift fall from public favor.

I watched the show last night, and while I strangly found myself agreeing with Paul on several issues, came to the conclusion that he is way tooooo old to be POTUS (76). As for all otf the issues the one I am critical of is allowing states and citizens to run their own life and pay for their own decisions in life. That seemed a little off-in-left-field.

If we were to allow people to do their own thing and pay the price for their errors, we would (as a nation) be picking up the tab eventually (one-way-or-the-other). :BangHead:

Paul's platform is honorable and noble (at times and in some places), but I don't believe he has the stamina (at his age) to run this nation. If he were to run and win, we had better have tons of knowledge and complete confidence in his running mate, because more than likely, his VP could end up be our POTUS! :tear:

So, let's get this straight...your issue with Ron Paul is that he is an advocate of personal responsibility?

It's no wonder you want to vote for Hillary Clinton. It takes a village, right Dude?

I am not sure what you mean by saying that we would eventually be picking up the tab for the choices of others. If government only did what is enumerated in the Constitution, then these people would have to rely upon charity, which has proven to deliver better service for less. Rather, when you make your own decisions you suffer your own consequences.

Wow! I didn't think we could disagree any more that we did, but this sets a new standard.

I am a firm believer in personal and state responsibility, just like the writers of the Constitution.

Or maybe I misread? It is hard to see sarcasm in print?

I also disagree that his age would be an issue.

Oh that's right...you said we weren't allowed to debate this topic, even though you posted it in the debate forum. I'm sorry Dude, we should have known you'd get your feelings all hurt if we dared to disagree with you.

Maybe the government will send you to some "my feelings got hurt" classes for free since you can't own up to dealing with them yourself?

I think Paul and Huntsman would make an excellent team.

Thanks for the insult Dude. I appreciate it! Did you care to actually talk about the topic you started or was this just an opinion piece by our resident author that was just given to enlighten all of us?

Ahhh...you gotta love the PMs from the Dude. More insults and yet again threatening to contact my Pastor about me. Watch out boys and girls, the Dude will call your Pastor if he doesn't like you! Somehow I think threats to invade someone's personal life are a violation of this boards rules.

I Can See that the Voice of Reason

    Has changed your mind.

Thanks for the info on Huntsman. Isn't Paul prochoice too? I thought I heard him elude to that on Leno, but, I could be wrong.

Huntsman is pro-choice? From what I've been able to dig up he seems pro-life. Can you provide any links? Of course, I'm not a fan of his for other reasons though...
