What is the difference in a timeline?

I am not sure what you are asking but let me ask, in our concept of time how long does the day of the Lord last and does the day of his wrath last for the same length of time?

 

Just thinking off the top of my head(watch out for the shrapanel). "DoW" concerns the day when He does away completely with Satan, his minions, and all sinners, and cast them in the lake of fire. The "DotL" is concerning the day Jesus paid the sin debt in full when He fulfilled all prophecies concerning His works of the cross. This is kinda what I think they are talking about. I am not dogmatic about it, though. Someone may come along and make a prettier post than I.

 

Think day of Wrath more towards God general judgement upon the World systems, statnic operastion, and Day of the Lord more as in salvation coming towards those in End times, as in Isreal being saved at Lord return!

 

I believe somewhere in the OT the day of the Lord is called a day of wrath. Maybe could either a day or the day I guess.

 

Just search the usage of the term and this will show you that it refers to a visitation or moving of God...usually referring to judgment, though at times we can see restoration involved in the Day of the Lord as well.

I see no difference between the two, as this term refers to God's judgment in both an eschatological sense as well as being fulfilled at times in the life of Israel. Of course, how you view prophecy and how you believe it to be/have been fulfilled will have direct impact upon what you interpret this term to describe.
