Antiochus Epiphanes desecrated the Temple in 168 BC,
therefore he was a "preview" of future events.
Jesus referred to the same type of desecration of
the Temple as yet being future. Mt. 24:15, Mk. 13:14

Would you see him as a type of the beast to come that will do what daniel predicts, just as say nero was a type of antichrist, with a future Antichrist still to come?

That would be my view on the matter. Sometimes, when I think of how the covenant a-mills fluff off the small details of the prophecy under the assumption that the church is the complete fufillment of the New Covenant promises given in the Hebrew Scriptures, I find myself thinking that they (covenant A-mills) are actually "close is good enough for me" theologians.

This seems to be one of the most important keys to unlocking Biblcal prophecy, in that there usually appears to be both an immediate fulfillemnt of prophecy, to the situation in the day, that is a type/foreshadowing of a future fuller fulfillment yet to come!

    Dude, seriously.

Different name, same bad grammar and pointless questions. Why don't you just cut it out?

    When Jesus stated:
When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, - Mt 24:15
his disciples new exactly what he was talking about.

The abomination of desolation by Antiochus Epiphanes was in 168 BC (past). Hanukkah is the celebration of the
cleansing of the temple following the abomination of desolation, by Antiochus Epiphanes, and is celebrated to this day.
In John 10:22 the Holy Spirit notes this event:
And it was at Jerusalem the Feast of the Dedication [cleansing of the Temple and Rededication], and it was winter.

In the case of the False Christ (who will deceive all mankind except for "the elect"), a COMPOSITE must be
gathered from many locations within the scriptures. A good "foundational" starting point would be the Pauline Epistles
as Paul is the Apostle to the Gentiles.
