    Well, BB friends - this is my 12,283rd post - :type: (average of 3.83/ day)
    I sure have been busy over the past several years.

    But today, is my first full day at my new job. I will be a new car salesman at Burdick Ford.

    The taxi was just getting too me. One reason was all the Medicaid rides (which you and I paid for). In fact, I have mentioned it many times in my political/news posts. In addition the pay will be much better - especially if you all come and buy a car from me.

    The hours for my new job are 830 am to 8 pm - yes, a 12 hour day - Mon - Sat - with one day (normally the same) off per week - day to be yet determined. (+ a one hour round trip commute). We always get Sundays off, except for the annual car show - but I will only have to work a couple of hours - and that will be later in the day.

    Therefor my time on BB will be extremely limited. I will try to read the new posts - but I will be responding to very few if any at all. So if someone asks me a question - please don't feel slighted if I do not answer.

    I also have additional responsibilities as Associate Pastor of Canastota Bap - in fact I will have to cut back on some of those responsibilities - most of what I will do will be on Sundays. In addition I am a webmaster on another Christian forum. And most important I need to spend some time with Mrs. Salty - which will be difficult as she works part time on the graveyard shift.

    I have had the honor to meet some of the BB folks in person and have spoken to others on the phone. I truly am thankful for the friendships I have made here. (yes, Padre - that means you better come see me when you buy your brand new truck :thumbs:)

    So this is not quite a good-bye - rather its like going on a military overseas PCS movement (thats 3 years in Germany - & I did 3 of those) but I just wont be able to visit as much - for a while.

    I do covet your prayers in my new job (even if you drive a Chevy :smilewinkgrin:)

    So take care, and after I become salesman of year and will be able to write my one ticket.......

    Let me know if you sell a car to an Amish person. Tis the mark of a great salesman. :smilewinkgrin:

    And please don't sell Dodge Journeys. It's my opnion that they're about THE worst made cars I've ever run across and nothing but headaches and money pits. GRRR!!!

    BTW, I used to work 12-16 hours shifts before I had kids. Most of my friends did to and we had a hard time understanding people who whined about 8 hours shifts and called it a day's work. That's not a whole day! Now that I'm older though, I think I'd fall over if I tried. Yikes!

    Congrats on the new job. You should do well as you are a great person and can relate to people well. I always enjoyed your posts.

    Ford has the best American made products out there and are better than most imports. I'm sure you will succeed.

    Friends don't let friends sell Fords. :laugh: Spent seven years in the business. You can make a ton of money one week and starve the next. I was offered the GM position at the store and my first pulpit the same week. The dealership offered me $70,000 plus a demo. The church offered $10,000 plus a parsonage. Oh, well. All that money would've ruined me anyway....
