I think it always helps a discussion to know people's backgrounds; knowing where someone is coming from enables you to understand their perspective better. Plus, I think it would be enjoyable and interesting to know this about the people here. This is a Baptist forum, but I believe we have a diverse group here.

So, which of these broad "faith families" do you identify with? And after you choose one, please narrow it down and tell us which tradition/denomination within that particular faith family that you belong to or identify with.

    Here are the choices:

    Baptist
    Wesleyan-Arminian
    Calvinist-Reformed
    Anglican
    Lutheran
    Catholic
    Pentecostal/Charismatic
    Restorationist (Disciples/Churches of Christ)
    Other

Of course there is only one "family of faith" in regard to salvation and that is the family of God of which all true believers are family members by faith.

So, by "faith" you are referring to the doctrine and practice as represented by denominational preferences.

Prior To Darby's invention of Dispensationalism in the middle of the 19th century the majority of Baptists were "reformed." Many Baptists have returned to their reformed tradition. Isn't that the basis for the latest SBC disputes?
