God is able to keep us from evil providetially, God is able to intervene supernaturally, or God is able to be with us in the midst of the trial that comes upon us. Our attitude should be dependant on God at all times,praying for His protection.....
14Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?

Of course we can, robertguwapito.

Often though, in times of extreme terror our adrenalin kicks in and the average man or woman can perform superhuman feats. At that point we don't have the ability to think of calling on anyone until after the trauma is over.

 

Yes, we certainly can ask the Holy Spirit for supernatural strength in times of danger....

...but we must realized that He my decide not to give it to us for various reasons.

We need to realize that it is ultimately God who decides what kind of answer to prayer to give...and it may not always be the one we are expecting.

We need look no farther than The apostle Paul & Jesus himself who both prayed to the Father for the removal of suffering, and God did not grant their request.

 

The Holy Spirt CAN always decide to do such, butSamson was a Judge, and had a "special commission" from God, and part of that was to have supernatural strenght, his spiritual gift!

So would say God protects us, would ahve angelic hosts over us, but NOT have that sternght of samson thing going!

He is right there with you in times of danger and undue fraught!

Allow me to share Romans 8:26-28 from the (MSG) Message Bible - "Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God's Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant [to be fraught with suspense or danger] condition, and keeps us present before God. That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good."

This version of Romans 8:26-28 is very revealing as to where the Holy Spirit is in regard to our daily walk. And I love the fact, that even in our "sighs" and "aching groans" He hears the needs of our heart! And when we least expect it, the Hand of God moves to work things out for our good!

So yes, you can and should call upon the Holy Spirit for His supernatural intervention, be it in times of danger, or not!
