Like I said in another thread Rush is pushing independent women into the Obama camp. One of two groups the Republicans really need if they stand a chance of winning the election.

And Limbaugh keeps up his attack on women. His rediculious attack on Tracie McMillian and women in general who are educated. Calling women who have a BS or a BA overeducated is insulting to say the least.

Keep it up Rush, you are assuring Obama's re-election. Maybe he is jealous. As far as I know he has no advanced degree of any kind. Does anyone know for sure about this?

The only war on women in this country right now is the war on conservative women. It has been going on for years and is well documented in one of my recent threads. That is the only war on women that exists in this country. The op is pure left wing propaganda.

CTB, politically independent women, by very nature of the definition of the word that they choose to describe their politics, will NOT be swayed by the outer fringes of stupid remarks by either the GOP or the Democrats.

Rush and his commenting that young white women with degrees aren't necessarily intelligent, Santorum's pal Friess implying that women are responsible for all sexual immoral behavior by not keeping their legs closed, and a host of other stupid remarks made by people not thinking before they speak is NOT going to push any independent woman toward President Obama.

My biggest knee-jerk reaction with the link you posted is towards the author of the article herself, Dominique Browning.

How stupid does SHE think that independent women are? There are indeed sexist remarks and attitudes from both camps. Hers is an attitude of sexism from the liberal camp. She apparently believes that independent women are putting stock into comments like these and are choosing presidental candidates on their empty merit and is insinuating that these independent women cannot think independently. So who is the sexist? And where is the "war" coming from?

But there is no war on women in the sense that conservatives are the enemy and Obama is the Great Rescuer. That is the most stupidest mindset of all.

If she actually believes that independent women will listen to the likes of Rush, who is consistent in his purposeful digs, or men like Friess who speak before they think and only occasionally put both feet in their mouths - and if she believes that these women will take comments like those and run quaking in fear to President Obama for rescue, then she has the lowest opinion of women that I have read thus far.

If one is battling an ogre, one does not say "Oh, that ogre is so mean and ferocious!! Let me run as fast as I can into the cave of the fire-breathing dragon. Maybe he will help me fight the ogre!"

No, the dragon is going burn you to a crisp and then eat you with ketchup!

And the ogre will still be ogre-ing around.

IF an independent female is going to vote for a Democratic candidate as opposed to a independent candidate or any other, it is because she supports the Democrat's position - not because she can't stand Rush Limbaugh.

I think the sexist bully is the one telling women they view as weak that they better vote for Obama, if they know what's good for them.

Actually Bill Maher enflamed/initiated the current war on women when he attacked Sarah Palin using totally repulsive language as to her gender and has repeatedly and publicly mocked and insulted her and other conservative women.

    Amen! Well said!

Rush, by the way, LOVES women. He talks about them in positive terms all the time. The women he is at war with are the radical feminists who seek to dictate (has to be a pun in that word somewhere) policy to everyone else in the nation while turning a blind eye to the plight of other women who just happen to be in the conservative camp.

IF there is a war on women, it stems from the current administration (and the Left in general) efforts to divide and conquor by class and gender warfare -- typical Marxist stance.

    Agreed.

There is, however, a longstanding war on men. How long has it been since we had a good variety of TV shows and movies that truly showed men as being vital parts of the family and not selfish bafoons and idiots?

The most effective way to break the American family is to neutralize its God ordained head. Sadly, far too many men have abdicated their authority and bought into the lies that their wives and children do not need them to be involved, to be men of integrity, and to lead their families with a genuine godly bold humility.

Here are some of the ideas that prove the Republicans are waging war against women. You can easily find information on each point listed.

    1. Republicans added language to a bill trying to redefine rape. After a major backlash, they promised to stop. But they didn't.

    2. A Georgia Republican introduced legislation to change the term victim to accuser on cases concerning rape, domestic violence and stalking.

    3. Republicans cut nearly a billion dollars of food and other aid to low-income pregnant women, mothers, babies, and kids, but refuse to consider raising the income tax on rich people. Seems they believe the rich deserve more and the poor less.

    4. Republicans are pushing to eliminate all funds for the only federal family planning program. Republican Dan Burton has a bill to funds to provide contraception for wild horses. Hmmm, federal funding for horses but not for people.

    5. House Republicans support bill that would let hospitals allow a woman to die rather than perform an abortion necessary to save her life. This is HR 358. Ironically it is called by Republicans the "Protect Life Act."

This is just a sample of the war on women being waged by Republicans.

(1)Redefine "rape" as what ? Where has this been done ? This sounds like a talking point.
(2)With the presumption of innocence, this makes sense. If one is found innocent of a crime, doesn't make much sense to assign him a "victim" now, does it ?
(3)Conjecture, unproveable opinion & complete fantasy.
(4)Family Planning should be defunded, and their leaders prosecuted under the RICO statutes.
    (5)Again, complete fantasy.

There is no war on women. There is a war on Republicans.

Is the Holy Spirit leading you to tell me I need to pay for other people's birth control ?

The House passed the "Let the Woman Die" clause of HR 358. Ironically Republicans call HR 358 "Protect Life Act".

So some on the BBbelieve it is more moral to let the woman and child die than to perform an abortion in an emergency situation and save the mother's life?

Would this apply to your wife? You would let her die if her life could be saved with an abortion. Remember we are not talking about abortion for convenience but about an emergency procedure to save a woman's life.

Ladies on the BB, would you sacrifice your life in such a situation?

This is a strawman and it is evil. It almost never happens and is an excuse for unfettered and unlimited abortions. BY the way my wife says she would not opt for an abortion regardless.

By the way is it ok to promote abortion on the BB?

Is the Holy Spirit telling you to let women die who could be saved? I am sure your significant other would like to know you value her life so little.

I don't believe I've mentioned birth control. We are talking about the provision in HR 358 that the Republicans supported that would allow women who could be save to die. Thankfully it never became law, at least not yet.

Abortion is the sacrament of the liberal. It must be protected at all cost. Slander is just one tool.

I would defend your wife's right to that choice. But she should be allowed to make that choice herself.

I doubt it is as rare a procedure as you suggest in your opening line. By the way, how many women should we let die before it is too many?

I have never supported abortion on demand. However if the choice is between the death of the mother and the fetus or saving the mother's life I would opt for saving the mother.

    Wow, just wow...

I've not seen such twisted hatred spewed forth anywhere else but Democrat Underground (which I cannot even join because I am decidedly not a Marxist socialist, or in other words, a Democrat).

Another one goes on the "do not ever respond to another post" list.

And now you resort to a pesonal attack. A stupid, childish, slanderous remark, of which I will just leave up there for everyone to see. What an idiotic way to back up your argument. I will not respond to the LIE that I want women dead, other than to call it a lie, and you a liar, if those are the words you choose to put in my mouth

And you did mention birth control, righte here....

So I'll ask again, is the Holy Spirit leading you to tell me I need to pay for other's birth control ?
