When the story on Rick Warren came out about King's Way I thought this was a new direction he was embarking upon. Seems like this has been a ecumenical proposal for some time now for men like Warren, Schuller and McLaren. They all signed this "Common Ground" document back in 2007. I don't ever remember this being a hot topic back then? Now with the King's Way and Warren's endorsing this Muslim/Christian document in 2007 can anyone truly come to his side and say he's being true to scripture, especially John 14:6?

I appluad his wanting to make peace with Muslims, but not at the cost of the truth of scripture. But this has always been his way. He tramples on the word of God to push his agendas. I'm sorry for all you who truly believe RW is correct in his endeavors. I feel he has done more damage to the Christian church than any TBN preacher over the last 15 years. Go ahead start throwing stones now. I know I have made several posts on RW lately but he really needs to be exposed for the wolf in sheeps clothing he is.

Is this too harsh to post?

I heard this joke years ago, and would like to post it, as it pertains to the ecumenical movement.

It seems a priest, Iman, and pastor were heading back to their camp after being on a safari. While walking back they were praying for their religions to come together as one.

When they got half way to the camp, a hungry lion jumped out and ate all three of them, and later that night, the lion became sick and had himself an "ecumenical" movement!

I don't mean to be foul or gross, but your newest post made me think of this joke. Do you think it would offend others or cast me in a bad light if I were to post it to add a little humor to your topic??? Furthermore, I don't want to do anything that would get your thread shut down, Thanks for your opinion!

    I Guess It Was OKAY....

...to post, since you put it up for me. I always got a chuckle out of that little story. I actually heard it in church years ago.

Thanks for prayerfully considering, as I don't want anyone to look at it and have a reason to close this important thread down.

    Paul,

I got to thinking how a lot of conservatives are exposing Obama for all his associations prior to becomimg Prez. You know the Bill Ares and Rev Wright and Father Flagger characters. I think we can say the same about Warren. His associations with Robert Schuller, Brian McLaren, Peter Drucker etc. really tells a lot about who he aligns his beliefs. These are not just inconsequential aquaintences, they are men he follows and looks up to especially their beliefs and ministries. These are just the three big ones, he has many more buddies with questionable spiritual creditials.

The thing is that when darknes and the light meet, especially when light trying to seek a working "middle ground' the darkness will not change, but light become darker!

Interesting DA. I'm sure Mr. Warren would dismiss that analagy immediately. I think he is playing with fire and doesn't realize the dnager he is creating.
