    From the article:

"Republicans should stop forcing contraception into the national political debate."

It was Democrats that started the debate with Stephenopolous asking Romney at the Jan 7th debate, "do you believe that states have the right to ban contraception?" And it is Democrats that are keeping the issue going.

Bill Maher is the one who declared the war (which has been paid for by HBO).

Note: Gregory asks about the 'war on women' among Republicans.

McCain does not respond by saying there is no 'war on women'. McCain does not deny the 'war on women'. Rather he says "We need to fix that". That refers to the Republican 'war on women'.

I wonder if Crabby has an ESL problem?

He never understands the meaning of the words that he quotes.

He certainly doesn't mind it when his political enemies get their words twisted.

McCain said nothing like what the O/P claims.

McCain didn't get his words twisted. He said that there is a "perception" that needs to be fixed and that is true enough.

It's Crabby's reading comprehension that is twisted.

You are correct. Either twisted or deliberately dishonest.
