    What does it mean for us? As far as I can tell it would upset some in PR, although it's been 14 years since the last attempt to vote for itself to be a state. I don't think I have a dog in that fight.

    Honestly, I think this is an issue for Puerto Ricans. I personally don't see a reason for them to become a state. I think they are better off just as they are. If they want to become as state let them. If not, fine. This is something they have to decide.

    Partly true. Yes, PR must first vote - if they approve - then the US Congress must then apporve it.
