Talk About Hypocrisy

I was paging through the latest World Magazine dated April 7th I think. In it was an ad for God's Word translation.It was a decent-sized color spread. After all the unfounded bad-mouthing of the TNIV years ago and the treatment of the current NIV --this reeks of inconsistency. Why put an ad in your mag of a translation that essentially goes along with the inclusive stance of the NIV? If the philosophy of the mag is deadset against the TNIV and recent NIV why advertise another translation that does the very same thing you are against? I'd say the same thing if they had put in ads for the NRSV (never) and NLTse (they might have,does anyone know?).

World Mag must not have very strong convictions on the matter. Perhaps the almighty advertising dollar convinced them to let it slide. But I doubt there will be an ad for the NIV...sheer hypocrisy.

This mag reminds me of the inconsistency of the liberal media.
