I did not read Hillary Clinton's book 'It Takes a Village' simply because I was not interested in the topic at the time so I had nothing to say about it. I heard many conservatives bash it vigorously. Those I knew had not read it either because of the author’s politics. I probably never will read it, but it dawned on me one day that the title actually was how children in the U.S.A. used to be raised. The thing is during those times those who made up "The Village” were on the same page. The parents, law enforcement, Church, Schools, and local governments worked together to keep children basically pointed in the same direction and held the kids responsible for their actions. Neighbors would contact 'Johnny’s parents if they felt they needed to. If I got in trouble at school trouble at home was guaranteed.
The Village did help raise us.
My point is that many times we close our minds and eyes to ideas because of a label; Conservative, Liberal, Libertarian, Male, Female, Black...etc. We often also blindly, freely open ourselves up to absurd notions because 'so & so' said it, and is in agreement with me on other things. Parts of the church used to blindly deny the existence of dinosaurs even after fossils were found because of the beliefs of those who found them. So, it may be a good thing to be informed before we speak, act, and vote. And just because my politics, religious beliefs, philosophical approach is or is not in agreement with ___ doesn't make what they say automatically wrong, or right.

The "Liberal/Democrat" label means that a person supports abortion, gay rights, redistribution of wealth and socialism in general. They may deny that they support abortion, but yet they vote for people that do.

Sometimes labals asy alot about a person

I doubt that Hilary Clinton's Village resembled the 'village' I was speaking about. In all honesty I have not read her book so I won't speculate on it.
In part of my opinion concerning our current political arena is that there is hardly one thin dime's difference in the Democrats and the Republicans. I believe that the Republican Party is no longer the party of the Conservatives. They have had ample opportunity to show themselves conservative. They instead have let it be known that with them as with the Democrats it is "Business" and 'Politics' as usual. When given the social and financial wherewithal to bring about real change they failed to do so. Spending increases continued, and and continue. Abortion is still with us. The very things you mentioned "supporting abortion, gay rights, redistribution of wealth and socialism in general" have continued to gain momentum with barely a blip on the radar from the so called conservative Republicans. This is why the 'Tea Party' did as well as it did in the last election. I believe we should be involved in the current political process that we as Americans are still afforded. On the earthly thinking side of things we still are the greatest nation on earth today. At least VOTE VOTE VOTE and what other involvement you want to have. But make no mistake about it "His kingdom is STILL Not of this world. A day is coming when ALL the kingdoms of this earth will be shaken. His kingdom will be established. And He shall Reign Forever. God is not a Democrat. God is not a Republican. He is not a member of the Tea Party. Jesus is Lord!!! As time goes on anyone who is seekingthetruth will run up against the very ones that used to claim to be on his and her side.

There is statistical evidence that a community's economic progress depends upon the level of trust between members in the community. Poor communities and poor nations have a low level of trust. Being a "diverse community" lowers the economic progress of all income levels.

Well, i cant speak for God, but I am pretty sure he is not a Democrat

Being that being a Democrat goes against almost all of the basic teachinings of the Bible.

Repubilcans are not much better, but at least they are not as blatant about their heresy.

Neither can I. We probably agree on this : He is not a member of any political party.
You are aware of other parties. Some of them are moe conservative than Republicans.

IF they stand for truth, I say again IF, they matter. No vote is wasted if it is cast for the right candidate, whether he wins or looses. That was my father's advice to me, and I am certainly going to think carefully of his advice in this election considering the direction the Republican party is seemingly taking.

Good advice from a wise father to his kids. There is an aspect to that advice I think people pass over : The liberal politicians count on at least a couple of things and more.
1.) They count on the 'Fear of Losing Factor' which is where the above statement:"But they have no chance of being president. So why do they matter"? comes from. So people act insane by performing the same action over, and over, and over again hoping for a different result.
2.) They count on a type of socio/political second law of thermodynamics. They believe that over time the voting population will degrade to the point where they (the Liberals) will be in charge from a very strong position. This enables them to be very patient and Far-Sighted. They are quite willing to take temporary losses for now because they see the direction and momentum of the pendulum as swinging (even if slowly) in their direction.
3.) They add to this winning recipe the fact that most people (read Conservatives) Want it All; they want it now; They want it their way. Conservatives are shown to be short sighted when they vote for a losing candidate, a lying candidate, even a liberal Republican candidate for fear of "throwing my vote away". Conservatives are not willing to take it on the chin in the short term in order to win later. That..is throwing your vote away!

I'm convinced He is preparing a place for us and will come again to receive us to Himself. The kingdoms of this world will become the Kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ; and He shall reign forever, and , ever, Hallelujah!
