Is spellcheck something completely foreign to you?

No, not in a dispensational view (which is what most hold around here.)

Spelling might be my cross to bear, just as DL Moody was poor grammar and articulation, but somehow the lord got the job done through him!

believe that there are more A mils Christians than Dispy, and more holding to infant baptism, so it is important to at least know the views!

Through out the History of the Church there have been believers looking for Christ return for the church. Of course they weren't part of the RC church nor the Chruch of Rome or Greece, most were underground groups who were burned at the stake for being anti-pedo bapism and for looking for Christ return and for believing in church and state seperation and for wanting a bible for the common people. The list of them dieing for their faith is long and on record.

The problem you have there is the teachings of Paul, Peter and John who were looking forward and loving His appearing. If the case were it beginning at the triumphal entry He would have sat upon Davids throne as the prophet foretold, but He didn't rule and reign in Jerusalem instead just as Daniel said Messiah was cut off and the week of Tribulation left to be complete the 70th week of Daniel's prophecy. Too many prophecy in O.T. and N.T. show He will return and set up His Kingdom on Earth the Messianic Kingdom promised in the Davidic Covenant.

the Father would establish Jesus upon His throne in His Kingdom, and do not think present Age since hos ascension fits the picture of what the reign of Messiah upon earth would be like!

No more wars, famines, diseases etc...

Don't think this Age can say that has happened!

    REVMAC,

I think all Christians long for the blessed hope of the return of our LORD.

I was taught and believed this....then someone pointed out to me ....where does it say specifically that it was ....ON EARTH....????

Jesus rules and reigns now...from heaven....what in Isa 11.....35.....65....66 says the reign must be on earth as opposed to heavenly ZION and Jerusalem/

If God wanted to renew this present creation as in Romans 8....then there would be an earthly rule....and that would be fine by me...and even if it were not fine by me....it would happen anyway!
I just believe he rules and reigns now...with the isa passages being metephorical descriptions of the peace in the church.

The millennium is the time from the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ until His visible return in Power and Great Glory. At that time the resurrection of all the dead shall occur [John 5:28, 29] and Jesus Christ shall sit on the White Throne of His Judgment. As for Satan being bound all one has to do is look for the many scripture that teach the defeat of Satan by Jesus Christ If I am not mistaken I believe there is a passage that mentions the binding of Satan.

    Matthew 12:26-30, KJV
26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?
27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.
28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

    ===========================================================

Dispensationalism is a doctrine developed about 1830 by John Darby of the Plymouth [England] Brethern and popularized in this country by the Scofield Bible. Sadly Scofield's notes in that Bible are all too frequently regarded as inerrant. There are some who believed a supposed vision by one Margaret MacDonald is the precursor of Dispensational error.

A non-programed reading of the Bible shows that God deals with people through covenants, not dispensations. The most serious error of dispensationalism is not their eschatology but the teaching that Jesus Christ came to establish an earthly kingdom, that He was rejected by the Jews, and He established the Church as a fallback position. The second most serious error of dispensationalism is that God has two peoples; an earthly people, the Jews and a heavenly people, the Church. These two errors are rarely discussed. Most people are enthralled by the dispensational pre trib rapture.

A reading of the last two chapters of Revelation refutes the error of two different peoples. As for the false claim that Jesus Christ failed in His mission that is refuted by the following Scripture:

    Isaiah 55:11, KJV
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

I believe it is correct to say, on the basis of John's Gospel, that Jesus Christ is the Living WORD sent forth by God.

Would add to this that darby rediscovered the biblical truth of a pre trib rapture, much same way the reformeresrediscovered doctrine of saved by faith/grace alone!

And that many of the early church fathers did hold to Jesus returning to earth to reign over Earth 1000 years period, and some of them held to would rule over jews and gentiles at that time...

    1.Isaiah 24:23
Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.

    2.Micah 4:7
And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever.

Isaiah 11 shows an earthly reign with the Gentiles included.

In fact the lion laying down with the lamb and the lion eating straw as an OX shows that the Kingodom age earth will be a the anti-divuvian civilization was.

Genesis 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

    After the flood we see:

Gen. 9:2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.

3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.

Man and beast did not begin to eat meat until after the flood, Isaiah 11 shows the earth going back to that with the description of the animals not feeding on flesh but upon straw. Appears as if Christ is reigning upon the earth in His Messianic Kiongdom by Isaiah 11.

Darby may have invented [Out of whole cloth, using an old saying!] the pre-trib rapture but he did not rediscover any truth.

The early church fathers were not pre-trib!
