    Heb 10:10

    10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

    Yes, The writer is writing to Believers, however that [believing] is not how they became sanctified forever, which was solely by means of the Sacrifice or Offering of the Body of Jesus Christ, which means by His Death !

    This is a Great Blessing of the Death of Christ, all for whom He died, once and for all, set them apart !

    The word sanctified here is the greek word hagiazō and means:

    to render or acknowledge, or to be venerable or hallow

    2) to separate from profane things and dedicate to God

    a) consecrate things to God

    b) dedicate people to God

    3) to purify

    a) to cleanse externally

    b) to purify by expiation: free from the guilt of sin

    c) to purify internally by renewing of the soul

    Please understand that Christ's Death is also the cause of internal renewing of the soul or as Paul writes it Titus 3:5

    5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

    Christ's Death alone is the Sole Cause of this renewing of the Holy Ghost, for that is why when He ascended on High upon completion of His Death Work, the Father gave Him the Holy Spirit to pour upon all them He died for and to ensure their experimental sanctification by the Spirit. Here is where He receives the Holy Ghost scripture says Acts 2:33

    Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he [Christ] hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

    This shed forth of the Holy Ghost is taught by Paul also Here Titus 3:5-6

    5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

    6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

    Thats why those jews on the day of Pentecost asked for spiritual instruction from hearing Peter's sermon Acts 2, their asking that question showed that they had been renewed by the Holy Ghost, which Christ just had shed forth !

    There is no basis for reasoning with SBM. His conscience is seared by his false doctrines.

    To the reader who wishes to understand the truth of redemption take heed to the following principle.

    You cannot isolate the covenant redemptive work of any single Person of the Godhead and make it stand alone in and of itself apart from the work provided by the other two Person's of the Godhead.

    This is the error that characterizes every aspect of SBM's view of redemption and that is why it is false teachings.

    For example, It is the Father that prepared the body for the Son (Heb. 10:5-9) and it is the Holy Spirit that empowered the body of the Son to do His work.

    We are sanctified once and for all by the body of the Son BECAUSE the Father elected us unto that sanctificaton and the Spirit applied that sanctification personally to us. Apart from the other Two Person's of the Godhead and their work in the area of sanctification, the work of the Son would be worthless. The Father appointed its design while the Spirit actually made it applicable.

    For SBM to suggest that the redemptive work of the Son is sufficient in of itself for our sanctification is ludicrous as that is not possible without the co-equal works of the Father and Spirit in regard to sanctification. Without the Father's redemptive work there would be no designed application and without the work of the Spirit there would be no fulfillment or actual sanctification.

    SBM believes in a PANTHESITIC deity, and veiws the redemptive work of Christ in no real difference than the United Pentecostal does as he attempts to make the work of Christ stand alone in and of itself as though there were no other Covenant Redemptive Parties involved and as though the redemptive work of Christ could stand alone in an of itself apart from the sanctifying works of both the Father and the Son.

    SBM has no ability to discern things that differ or things that are interdepdent upon each other. Every aspect of salvation of the elect is interdependent upon all Three Person's of the Godhead and their distinguishing covenant obligations for redemption of the elect so that no work by any of the Divine Persons stands complete IN AND OF itself apart from the redemptive works of the other Divine Persons.

    So you deny that Christ's sacrifice alone sanctified those He died for ? Once and for all !

    Heb 10:10

    10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

    The will here refers back to God the Father vs 9

    9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

    Christ's One Offering Sanctified forever those He died for !

    Jesus says of those He died for Jn 17:19

    19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

    This here Christ sanctifying Himself has to do with offering Himself in Death, and by this, He sanctifies those He died for, this is confirmation of Heb 10:10. Notice Jesus said that they may be sanctified in the Truth. So Part of Christ's effects of His Death, is that those whom He died for, should be sanctified through the Truth ! The Holy Spirit is given to Him for that Purpose, remember Acts 2:33, so each person Christ's died for, and prayed that they should be sanctified through the Truth, the Holy Spirit effects that 2 Thess 2:13

    13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

    Yes, the Holy Spirit performs this work, however its because of the merits of Christ's Death and how it sanctifies those He died for !

    No, I just deny your interpretation of it!

    Look at the very scriptures SGM quotes. Whose "will"? Even SBM admits "The will here refers back to God the Father"! The Son's work does not stand alone in and of itself. Apart from the Father's "will" or design, the Son's work is worthless. Without the Holy Spirit's application to the elect, the Son's work is worthless.

    The sanctification work of the Son is interdependent upon the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit (2 Thes. 2:13 "and sanctification by the Spirit and belief of the truth.") as well as the sanctifying work of the Father (setting us apart by divine election). The Son performed this ASPECT of sanctification (High Priestly work in offering up an acceptable sacrifice that satisfied God's righteous demands in regard to the elect). However, this ASPECT of sanctification by the Son accomplishes nothing in and of itself APART FROM from both the sanctifying work of the Father and the Spirit.

    The Father's sanctifying work gives the work of Christ definition and design.
    The Spirit's sanctifying work gives the work of Christ fruition and functional application

    This is Blasphemy. Before the Holy Spirit ever applies the Work of Christ unto the beneficiaries, it has provided Justice to the Law of God's Holy law. In fact it is because the Sons Work is of so much great worth before God the Father, and He is well pleased with it, that forms the basis for the Work of the Spirit to give to all that He died for New Life, Justification of Life !

    This blasphemous statement strikes at the very merit of the obedience of Christ Rom 5:19, which all for whom He died shall be made righteous ! That work makes them fit for heaven, and its all fruit of Christ's Death. So what Blasphemy against Christ !

    Your unbiblical view leads to a perversion of God's own nature so that you embrace Pantheism. Your unbibilcal view leads you to a UPC view of Christ.

    The work of the Father does not stand alone in and of itself in regard to our salvation.

    The work of the Son does not stand alone in and of itself in regard to our redemtion

    The work of the Spirit does not stand alone in and of itself in regard to our sanctification

    You can no more make the work of each stand alone in and of itself then you can make each Person of the Godhead stand alone in and of themselves as the complete God.

    Our salvation is based upon a TRIUNE covenant of salvation where each work of the TRIUNE God is interdepent rather than indepdendent from the other two Persons and covenant obligations.

    Christ's work of redemption did not redeem us, save us, justifiy us in and of itself any more than the Father's elective work redeemed us, save us or justify us in an of itself.

    Our redemption included the Father's work of providing a body as a fit sacifice for the Son (Heb. 10:5-9) as well as the work of the Son providing the obedience or satisfaction of the Law's demands for the elect (Heb. 10:10-14) as well as the Spirit's application to the elect (Heb. 10:15-18) where actual justification and remission of sins occurs through justification by faith:

    15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
    16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
    17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. {And their: some copies have, Then he said, And their}
    18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

    The Father purposed and provided the body, the Son obeyed and provided the satisfaction but the Holy Spirit made it applicable to the elect.

    God the father provided His Son to be the propiation/lamb of God, Jesus was the One who came to earth to be the Messiah, His death provided basis of our salvation, and the Holy spirit raised jesus from the Dead, he has come to bring repentance/faith/convicted etc to the person of Christ!

    Literally, our salvation came from the truine God, not JUST jesus!

    You blaspheme the Work of Christ, and state that it is worthless without the Work of the Spirit !

    You are saying the Death of Christ is worthless then. That it in and of itself did not Justify anyone before God, that it in and of itself did not completely satisfy God's Law and Justice in behalf of all for whom He died, that it did not effect forgiveness of sins in and of itself.

    You blaspheme because you say it did not reconcile to God all for whom He died, His Death alone ! Rom 5:10

    10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

    Not by the Work of The Holy Spirit !

    Christ's Obedience to the Law !

    Heb 10:7-10

    7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

    Ps 40:8

    8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.

    8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;

    9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

    10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

    Christ's Obedience to the law was perfect and it was for and in the place of all for whom He lived and died, they having a Vital Union with Him; that is what Paul is teaching in Rom 5:12ff For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God Rom 3:23, which occurred in God's Reckoning here Rom 5:12 !

    This tells us that the Transgression of God's Law by this one entity [Adam] effected Death in sin to all who were in a Vital Union with Him from God's perspective. The sin of adam or his disobedience Rom 5:18 Legally constituted in him was the embodiment of all his Natural family, guilty of Transgression.

    Now he [Adam] was a figure or type of Him to come, So Christ when He came in the flesh, was made like unto His Brethren, taking on the seed of Abraham, He was the embodiment of all His Spiritual seed, or Family, and therefore in virtue of this Vital Union they had with Christ, they receive all the blessings, His Obedience and Law keeping deserves, and that is Eternal Life as per Rom 2:7,10 !

    Now everyone Christ lived and died for, are the ones who keep the commandments of God as per Rev 14:12

    12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

    For God given Faith reveals to them that they keep the commandments of God, not in themselves, but through the Work of Christ, and His Law Keeping imputed to them, His Active law Keeping obedience while He lived upon the earth, and through Him they have kept every Law of God Perfectly, as Christ did. Remember the young mans question ? Matt 19:16

    16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

    Jesus responded Matt 19:17

    17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

    Yes, everyone Christ died for, has kept the commandments, and they all shall enter into Life.

    Jesus will say to them all, based solely upon His Finished work, and His obedience to the Law Matt 25:34

    34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

    That is precisely what I am saying! The work of Christ was not performed in a contextual VACUUM. The work of Christ in and of itself apart from the other covenant work and parties of the covenant of redemtpion is WORTHLESS!

    The bib's ruthless blasphemy against Christ !

    He hath destroyed the works of the devil !

    1 John 3:8
    He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

    The Lord Jesus Christ through His Death ALONE, hath destroyed the works of the devil, for those He died for. This was foretold eon's ago here Gen 3:15

    15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head [destroy], and thou shalt bruise his heel.

    Yes the bruising of the serpent's [satan, the devil] head is exactly what Christ did accomplish Heb 2:14

    14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

    Now death has been abolished in regards to everyone Christ died for, and who is believing, and this is brought to light by the Gospel 2 Tim 1:9-10

    9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

    10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

    Those who are believing the Gospel of God's Grace, is evidence that Christ abolished Death on their behalf, that He destroyed the work of the devil regarding them. Now one of the symptoms of or effects of spiritual death and the devil's power over one, is Unbelief of the Gospel, for Unbelief is work of the Devil, scripture most certainly declares that 2 Cor 4:3-4

    3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

    4 In whom the god[Satan] of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

    The lost natural man just simply cannot believe the Gospel and why ? "the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not," this is one of the works of the devil ! So yes, unbelief of the Gospel of God's Sovereign Grace is not believed by all those that the work of the devil prevails against. See Also Matt 13:19 ! He by spiritual death blinds their minds in unbelief ! But how so to those whom Christ has died for, and consequently hath destroyed the works of the devil ? I must testify, that it is impossible for anyone Christ died for, should remain in unbelief ! They shall one Day Live by Faith after having the Gospel Reveal to them the Righteousness of God Rom 1:16-17. Folks for if that could happen, that one Christ died for lives their whole Life in unbelief of the Gospel, if that happens, then the work of the devil prevailed against one for whom Christ died, he prevailed over His Victorious Death that should have destroyed his works, yes if one soul that Christ died for, dies in unbelief or is found in Gospel Unbelief when He returns, like these will be 2 Thess 1:8, then Christ's Death did not destroy the works of the devil. But alas, it is a fact, all those who do die in unbelief, or are in unbelief when Christ Returns, then Christ did not die for them, simple as that !

    No one has denied the work of the Son. What has been denied is that the work of the Son is isolated and sufficient in and of itself apart from the covenant parties and works of the Father and the Spirit.

    There is no work of the Son apart from the Father SENDING the Son, providing the body for the Son, designing the intent of His work, designating who is redeemed by the Son. Apart from the Father's covenant work the Son's work is WORTHLESS

    There is no work of the Son apart from the Spirit actually applying it to the elect. The work of the Son has no application, no fulfillment, no salvation. Apart from the Spirit's covenant work the Son's work is WORTHLESS.

    You just as well believe in the UPC doctrine of God, deny any Trinitarian concept or involvement in the everlasting covenant of redemption. Your doctrine does lead to Pantheism.
