Alcoholics have to beware of cough syrup as much of the various brands contain alcohol.

So, how many Cokes would someone have to drink before their driving becomes impaired? I would think someone worried about driving after having too many Cokes would have to worry more about where to pull over and use the bathroom than driving under the influence.

A person would drown before they became intoxicated.

They suggest that the alcohol levels are as low as 10mg in every litre, and this works out at around 0.001 per cent alcohol.
1 Litre is 1.05668821 US quarts. To get just 1 percent of alcohol a person would have to drink 946.352 quarts or about 236 gal. To get .08 which is legally intoxicated a person would have to drink about 3 gallon very fast. That is if my math is correct.

Next, we'll be hearing about the parts per million of deadly poisons that are in many of the things we eat and drink. Even vegetables grown under as organic conditions as are humanly possible will have traces of these. Amounts too small to be significant.

Go out foraging for food that hasn't been touched by human hands and you'll find the same results. Is someone going to say that God is feeding us poison?

Just more scare tactics? Wonder who's behind the funding for the research? Wonder what the "agenda" is of the publisher of the results? Who deemed this to be newsworthy? Why?

Ever eaten a overripe fig or peach? Wonder what parts per million of alcohol they contain? It's sometimes funny to see drunk livestock and fowl after a binge of overripe fruit. Are we to stop eating fruit? Or, fresh pressed apple juice, since that's one of the markets for less than perfect apples for slicing.

Uhmm.... wonder how much alcohol is in yogurt, butter and milk made from clabbered milk (real butter & buttermilk), yeast breads, fermented pickles, and sauerkraut? Better watch those aged potatoes in the pantry.

IOW, intoxication is highly unlikely because of the amount of Coke a person would have to drink in order to do so.

You can bet it will not happen to me as my bladder would not support such a binge.

Now you all have done it. You just doubled the complications in a Baptist's life. In addition to having to watch the liquor stores to see who is coming, now you have to watch the soda fountains.

As long as Mt. Dew stays alcohol free, I'll be alright. :)

I'm not giving up my Dr. Pepper until they pry it from my cold, dead hand.

For the teetotalers, I thought it was sinful to even look upon any alcohol, now it is ok to consume as long as it is very diluted or you don't know it is in ripe fruit?

I am going to have to change my standard from "No alcoholic beverages" to "No intoxicating beverages". But I am pretty sure that no one in their right mind would call a Coke an alcoholic beverage.

Better stop drinking water as you can get intoxicated off that :)
