    Our ladies SS class lifted you and your family up in prayer this morning. Our petition was that you be bathed in peace and comfort during this tragic and difficult time and that you be filled with the love of God.

    Wish there was more we could do as I'm sure the needs are many at this time. Perhaps someone who knows MK could open an account we could contribute to.

    I was thinking the same thing. :( I know there are a lot of expenses just with a funeral and for the few weeks/months afterwards.

    I really kicks you in the gut with the pain that we feel, doesn't it? I have been thinking about MK so much and pray that God carries her and the children through this most difficult time.

    I am continuing in prayer, dear MK. It feels helpless from our end, wanting so much to be able to make it better somehow, so I'm very, VERY glad we are believers and have the power of prayer for times like these. I hope you can feel them, that somehow, maybe even just knowing so many are praying for you, feeling for you, that it gives you some small degree of comfort.

    It’s raining this morning. It’s been raining since we arrived home, yesterday, from the funeral. It’s as if the Lord is telling us that He shares our sorrows. T liked rain. He liked to sleep while it rained. He liked the coziness of home and the quiet that always seemed to come during rain to work on the model kits he always had scattered across my dining room table. He liked to play video games with the kids, often drowning out the sounds of the rain hitting our metal roof with their laughter or expressions of frustration, depending on who was winning. He used to say he wanted to move somewhere where it rained and snowed more. I’m guessing God has built T’s mansion in just such a location.

    So many people knew and were touched by T’s expertise in his field. The following link leads to a tribute written by one of those people. Our family has been greatly blessed by the support of so many people whose lives somehow came into contact with T and they thought enough of the experience to be saddened by his passing. I can’t thank those people enough for letting us know how T impacted them.

    The Psalmist says, “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning”. The children and I will hold onto to that as we move into life without T, knowing that when morning comes we hold the blessed hope of meeting him again in heaven.
