If Obama wins, I'm quitting my job

If Obama wins, it will be time to call in the work chips. Frankly, I am tired of working all of my life just to pay higher and higher taxes for other people to live on my dole who are too lazy to work.

Now, I'm not complaining about Unemployment Benefits, Social Security, Medicare, Food Stamps and TRUE Social Security Disability. To me, those don't fall in the same category as "entitlements" because people worked to get UE, SS, Medicare, and SSDI and food stamps, I have no problem with either, except I do think there should be eligibility requirements.

It's not the unemployed people's fault that our dumb, crazy, evil Congress passed all the trade agreements (starting with NAFTA) which sent American jobs flying overseas. I blame Congress.

It's not the American people's fault that all Congresses and Administrations throw our tax dollars away by giving "foreign aid" to countries who hate us, to the tune of billions of dollars.

    We, the people, are powerless.

The politicians have lied to us and do not care about the people they are supposed to represent. And Obama is the worst offender of all.

So, when I was shown a graph today about a single mother who worked and made
$67,000 a year and a single mother with the same amount of dependents who didn't work, made more than $67,000 a year with all of the government handouts (including welfare, child care, food stamps, and all the other government perks), I decided that's it.

If Obama gets re-elected, I am going to quit work and live on the 1% (who pay most of the taxes). After all, we have a POTUS who can afford to go on lavish vacations and play golf on our dime, and I am tired of paying the dime. I want mine. I want the freebies. This old body is tired of working and having the government rob me blind. And obamacare is going to make it worse.

So, I'm going to be a freeloader. Maybe I'll qualify for all these obama goodies the socialists want to hand out, free healthcare, free food, subsidized housing and utilities, and more.

Time for my piece of the federal pie. I don't want to pay higher taxes for obamacare, I want the free obamacare. I want the goodies. It's my turn after working for nearly 50 years. I know other people who are feeling the same way.

What say you? Care to join the 49% who don't pay taxes?

Well, yeah. Why is that? (Conspiracy!)

It's one reason I got out of the military (Obama, conspiracies, illegal taxes), for sure, but I'm not giving up. After I'm done with college, I'll be going back to work. I don't care how much money they take from me, I can live within my means and still be happy.

God said that because of Adam, by the sweat of my brow I will earn my bread (Genesis 3:19), and I will obey that to the best of my ability.

Please don't take offence Ceegan, but this is one of the funniest statements I've ever read!

I love your attitude, I really do, but we'll give you 40 years and see if you still feel the same way.

    Ah, youth.

In 40 years, I'll be 70... I don't think it will matter at that point anyway.

Yes, Social Security and Medicare will be bankrupt and people will be seeing the head of the Statue of Liberty buried in the sand like Charleston Heston in Planet of the Apes.....:tear:

Nonsense. It's made of copper. Meth-heads will tear that down in one night, and sell it to China the next day. And no one will stop them, because the government will be broke, and the police won't be doing a thing about it!

That's okay though, we're not supposed to store up treasures here on earth anyway. God will take care of us with or without "Social Security". :praying:

Jesus promised that we would never run out of poor people. You should thank God for your opportunity to fulfill prophecy.

I don't wait for the government to feed and shelter the poor. It isn't like income taxes pay for anything except the debt, which will never be paid off.

My thoughts exactly! If LE wants to become a welfare queen, that means less competition for hard-working real Americans like me.

If Obama is re-elected it proves to me we don't live in the same wonder country we did in the past. It has been taken over by the entitlement adicted crowd. It's sad.

Well, I May Be Retired, but I CERTAINLY Pay Taxes....

....Some may think that because I don't pay tax on April 15th, that I don't pay taxes. Well, I do pay. I pay every time I shop, buy gas, buy clothing, etc. I pay taxes on my home every month. I pay tax on my car tags. I pay tax on my royalties earned on book sales.

I even pay tax on top of tax.

So, while I'm retired, I am still a tax paying citizen, and even though it may not be as much as some of you earning large yearly salaries or wages, it is a fair share based upon what I earn and own. :type:

Not really. It means it's going to cost you a lot of money at some point, unless you can foist it off on the 1%. That'll end as well at some point.

My job adds value to the economy. LE becoming a welfare queen doesn't add nearly as much. It is work which built this country. We just need to transition to social democracy so we can arrange for a better life for real America. Of course, we should help those who are truly unable to work or find work.

Not what I asked. I asked a pretty plain question. I may have opined a bit, But is is a simple question.
