The Republicans in the House will kill this bill because they do not care what happens to the middle class.

I'm sure they do care about the middle class, seeing as how the middle class elects people, including Republicans. Apparently though, Obama does not care what happens to the wealthy.

Why does Obama want to raise taxes on the wealthy?

How much money per year would raising taxes on the wealthy's paychecks bring into the US Treasury?

Answer these questions and we can continue this discussion.

Taxes should be cut for everyone, except politicians. Why should the government, which never created one cent of wealth, penalize those who are talented enough to be at the top of the pay scales? I certainly am not at that point, but that is because of my occupation and talents. Why should I expect the government to make things even for me because I am jealous of someone who can do better?

I still maintain some of the greatest creators of wealth in our economy are the brave individuals who have a dream, an idea, thick skin, patience, and the fortitude to risk everything to own a business. It takes a special person. Also, for well established larger businesses, someone had to go through the growth process to get them where they are at some point in time. Most of us work for someone else and never had to risk a lot. Some of us have started businesses as second jobs, but the risk was not near what the start up small businessman faces.

The thing about these type of people is that if they fail at one business, they pick up the pieces, and start over again. In fact, more fail at least once than not.

Now, compare this person with a spineless politician who never accomplished anything but stealing tax dollars. Another thing, I am really tired of Congressmen on both sides of the aisle wasting our money and time passing bills that they know are going to fail. We elected them to govern, solve problems, and serve us. We did not elect them to play political games and enrich their bank accounts. With all the problems we have today, tax hikes, the fisical cliff, etc, these clowns are well paid to govern like they should They are suppose to be formulating budgets, you know, working, doing their job. Instead, they play chicken right until the last minute, and take off as many days a year as they are in session. We need a 100% turnover in the House. There is nothing much we can do about the Senate except take it away from the Democrats and get rid of Mitch McConnell.

They will kill it because they care what happens to the country, including the middle class.

They're actually trying to save Obama from sending the country into an even deeper recession, or worse. And it's always the middle class that takes it on the chin in a recession.
