As I said on another thread:

There are liars,:) there are lying liars, there are congenital liars,:( and then there are democrat politicians!

That being said I am opposed to all abortions except where the life of the mother is in danger and that is extremely rare if at all.

I do not know about all the specifics in you OP. I do know that both candidates play loose and fast with the truth.

I also know that Romney is on record as being on both sides of the abortion issue. He adamantly insisted he was pro-choice when running for the governorship of Massachusetts. He claims now to be pro-life. I have no idea where he really stands within himself on this issue.

Yes you do. It just serves your personal political agenda to pretend otherwise because you want this country's largest abortion provider to continue to receive Government funds. Shameful

Isn't it a bit suspicious that when he was running for the governorship in Massachusetts he was pro choice, knowing that taking a pro life stance would cost him the election .... and now knowing he needs to keep his conservative and evangelistic Christian base he changes to pro life.

Seems suspicious as to what he really believes to me.

Your stance on abortion is suspicious too.

And that is kindest way that I could describe it.

Your beliefs are well known here.

Why do you keep reminding us?

Yes, Romney's record on abortion while governor of MA is pathetic, as is his record on gay rights, gun control, and government run health care. That is in black and white with no shades of gray.

However, given the choices, what are the chances Obama is going to become pro-life? Romney says he is now pro-life. If he is lying, we have lost nothing. There is a chance he is telling the truth. The same goes for gun control and gay rights, along with taxes.

If he wins (which he will not) and goes back to the liberal agenda, he too will be a one term President. On the negative side, the Democrats will pick back where they left off in 2012.

If Romney is elected, and pursues conservative principles, then maybe things will turn around. It is all we have to work with this year.

There is an ancient Chinese story about a events and whether they are fortunate or unfortunate. It is a long story ... but the bottom line is that at this moment we do not know .... but time will tell.
