Ezra Klien is about as liberal an American journalist as one would find, I would take his take on things with a grain of salt. He isn't the only one to get Romney's VP correct.

Ha, this Ryan guy is a bull-in-the China shop. He will be screaming "austerity, austerity" at the top of his lungs. Anybody 55 or over will be adversely affected by his rational.

Why cant we get somebody who actually has a plan to get the economy moving, get people back to work, get college kids off their parents couches, etc? This stuff just makes me nuts!:BangHead:

It makes no difference who Romney picked as his running mate, both the democrats and you, Crabtownboy, would find problems with him.

BTW, I think Ryan is a good pick. His conservatism will help Romney with his own party.

Actually, Crabby, we don't have an election on the issues. We have an election where two groups, funded by the same Wall Street bankers, actually agree on the issues that will eventually destroy our country. BOTH groups believe in the NDAA and the destroying of habeas corpus. BOTH groups want to continue the Patriot Act, not only indefinitely, but PERMANENTLY. BOTH groups want to silence free speech.

No, we really don't have a choice. The country is doomed.

Depends if one views the possibility that God can still intervene and bless his name among them who are called by it!

I dont want to take this thread off track, but I got a call from one of the big NYC Banks to sell to them some equipment. All of our clients normally go through a process to get the company to extend credit terms......but not "Too Big To Fail" bank.....I was told, "if you want to do business with us, none of those rules apply .... We are "Too Big To Fail" so play by OUR RULES!

Come on! Didnt we bail out these SOB's in the 1st place. Yea, & if we dont do something about this arrogant Bankster attitude.....well, we just became Poland before WW2.

A VP is a minor issue. Once deciding to vote for Romney, that is what I base my vote on, not who he picks for VP. Do I think this will help the Republican ticket? Maybe in Wisconsin. The states that Ryan would appeal in are already going to be carried by Romney ie, the South, part of the Mid West and interior West. The Democrats will use the budget Ryan authored and go after him and Romney at the jugular. As evidence, the cancer ad is just the start.

If you have decided to vote against Romney, a VP pick will not change your mind. I do not base a vote on the possibility of a President dying in office. That has only happened once in my life time. One resigned.

No however a good quality staff selection might. But your correct, Romney doesnt thrill me & now that Ryan is selected I am even less encouraged, but neither do I find BO acceptable as POTUS for that matter. Ryan just became a reason to reevaluate the entire situation.

I think the Paul Ryan pick was a quality choice and a good one for our troubling economic times.

I did get a kick out of this report on NBC though. Seems they are trying to revive the war on women theme. It does appear though that Paul Ryan polls well with female voters, and for that matters polls well too with health care reform for seniors.

I like the Ryan-Wyden plan of Medicare reform (not to mention its necessary) but I wish Congressman Ryan would also support cutting military spending.
