...off into the distance from Time Warner Cable Arena? It's the one our First Lady just knocked out of the park with her speech.

I normally agree with a lot of what you have to say - but the best she could do was 'Come on folks, we just need more time?'

So how much difference do you think that speech will change the electoral college balance?

She gave a good speech, as candidates wives often do. Her speech was a bit more impassioned than Ann Romney's. It gave a bit more insight into Barack's past than Romney's speech gave into Mitt's background. But for anyone outside of the convention hall these types of speeches are forgotten within 24 hours and don't amount to anything.

It takes time to change anything. And it takes a longer time when a party has made the decision to oppose anything the president supports ... including ideas they pushed for prior to his election.

Armature? Armature? What does the DNC have to do with electronics?

Looks like your answer was from an amateur

This president made a lot of promises. He was foolish to do so. No one really believed them. Now it is time to face the music.

It took Reagan a lot less time to get the economy moving again in his first term. And it was a worse recession than the one we just had.

With control of both houses of the legislature in Obama's first 2 years they could have passed anything they wanted, anything at all, with no regard for the Republicans.

I think what I just saw sailing over the fence was any objectivity, or credibility from the putative libertarian who started this thread.

And they did. With 60% of Americans rejecting obamacare, Democrats shoved it down our throats anyway. And BO himself made it a point to say to John Boehner, "elections have consequences." Yes, indeed they do and all Americans, Republicans and blind Democrats are continuing to see the folly of feeling good by electing an unvetted man to the Highest Office of the Land. Just wait until obamacare fully kicks in - by then it will be too late to correct the damage that will be done, not only to our economy, but to our individual lives. Our only recourse is to boot this man and his cronies out of office in November and take back the Senate and retain the House.

Obama is not a failure - no, in fact he has been quite successful in what he has set out to do - bring America to her knees. It's time for a course correction.

It was also a bunch of lies.

...Both Michelle Robinson and Barack Obama began their adult lives with a leg up on the rest of America. They attended elite schools: Michelle went to Whitney Young, the public magnet school for Chicago’s upper class, while Barack attended Punahou, the private prep school for the top stratum of Hawaiian society. They were accepted to Ivy League schools despite undistinguished credentials, and both attended Harvard Law School.
"Believe it or not, when we were first married, our combined monthly student loan bills were actually higher than our mortgage,” Michelle said. That sounds like a raw deal--but in fact reflects their fortunate circumstances. They had both just graduated from a very expensive law school, and their combined income from cushy law firm jobs dwarfed the repayments. Barack also soon enjoyed a second salary from the University of Chicago.
They had expensive tastes, reflected in the $277,500 two-bedroom condo they bought in 1993--a high price even by today’s standards. Several years later, they moved into their $1.65 million mansion in Hyde Park--with the help of fraudster Tony Rezko. Barack often told a story of hardship on the campaign trail in 2008 about having his credit card declined--once. The fact that he thought this counted as real hardship speaks volumes.
As her husband moved onto the national political stage, Michelle Obama began to enjoy a lavish lifestyle at taxpayer expense, directly and indirectly. When Barack Obama was elected to the U.S. Senate, he obtained a $1 million earmark for the University of Chicago Hospital--and his wife’s salary as Vice President for Community Affairs jumped from $121,910 to $316,962. Her job: pushing poor, uninsured patients to other hospitals....

But the liberals are sure sucking up the lies besides telling them. Thanks, Bro. Curtis.

I hope that ball that Ms. Obama hit out of the park lands right in Joe Biden's big mouth.
