    Why do we expect anything more from politicians - Jesus told us not be surprised when the world hates us.

    Though it is hardly persecution like much of the church suffers.

    As I said in a post yesterday in another thread ... there is enough non-Christian activities in both parties that it behooves none of us to point fingers at the rest of us ... regardless of political persuasion.

    If you want I can give you a list of ideas being pushed by the GOP that are, to me, very non-Christian. I will do so if you want, but will not here as it might derail your thread.

    A gathering of some 200 Muslims praying in Charlotte was given extensive national coverage. The massive Christian received scant coverage.

    I suppose the Muslim Crowd has a better record regarding women's rights?

    So true. This is one of the main reasons I have no desire to support either side. In their current states, I see very little about either party that is truly about GOD. And if I can't see God in it, I don't want anything to do with it.

    Roger...you are precisely right. I regard this report as typical of the kind of stuff we should expect from this culture. I think it is more correctly seen as a PRECURSOR of the real persecution that we will see in days to come.     CTB....You can post the list if you wish (maybe in the politics forum would be best) but I can tell you here that I agree...both parties are messed up in regard to the spiritual things we hold dear. I think the Dems even more so though. The article I posted here was merely to illustrate just another example of how devoid today's democrats are of any spiritual truth AT ALL. The repub's are another subject altogether. They show more "spiritual" qualities but it is an even MORE DANGEROUS mixture of truth and ERROR that is even more deceptive in many ways. At least with the Dems you know how WICKED they are UP FRONT! You can walk around and avoid a SNAKE you can plainly see....yes?
