“I was stunned,” Fox News Contributor Charles Krauthammer began. “There was nothing in it … there was nothing in there that tells us how he’s going to go from today to tomorrow.”

The syndicated columnist, reacting to President Obama’s DNC speech shortly after it was delivered, went on to say that the president “…pulled numbers out of a hat … What we heard from Obama was a vision … He doesn’t say how he gets from point A to point B.” Krauthhammer added, tongue in cheek, “I have a vision of America where there’s no disease and everybody has a private airplane. But unless I tell you how we get there, I’ve said nothing.”

Vice President Joe Biden’s speech appealed to Mr. Krauthammer far more than the president’s. “I felt the Biden speech was infinitely better, because it was empathic.”

He concluded by calling the speech “flat,” joking that “otherwise, I loved it, really.”

I don't listen to the lying liars and the lies they tell but I did hear Krauthammer. He is obviously correct. Obamma is an empty suit so what should we expect!

Having already decided I have found nothing since '07, early that year, to cause me to seek after anything the Obama/Biden Camp has to offer. In less than four years they have increased the national debt to the point that I, my wife and each of my Children and grandchildren, each, owe $50,000.00 dollars on the debt. People just don't seem to see beyond the gimme's today to understand that the people owe that money. They curse the rich man for knowing how to make money to create jobs with but they spend my money, even before it can be earned, if it could be now.

What you said. I spent the time working on the family tree, looking at some stars through the telescope, and saw on rerun of the Gong Show, which probably made more sense than either speech.

It is kind of like hitting yourself with a hammer. It feels so good when you stop.

He's already stealing my money. I wasn't about to let him steal my time too with a rehash of his stale, recycled platitudes. I went to Zumba and then to bed.

When you've done very little except ... well... except for ... uhhh... it's just hard to make a great speech when you haven't done what you told people you could do.

I liked what Tim Pawlenty said. Don't blame Obama for failing, lots of people fail at their first job.

Gotta give Clinton credit, he gave a great speech. The speech by Gov. Schweitzer of Montana was very folksy and good, even Biden was good.

Obama was flat. I watched maybe half an hour and went to bed. I thought it was just me, but he was really pretty boring. I was surprised when the next day many in the press agreed.

    I think this song pretty much sums it up;

The landscape of the electoral college is changing in the Midwest. (ie, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, etc) I think Obama still has a slight electoral college lead, but it could well disappear in two months. This reminds me of the 1980 election, not in the quality of the Republican nominee, but in the manner the numbers are trending. Everyone thought Carter was even with Reagan right up until Election Eve. The X factor is we do not know what will happen in the next two months.

    Speaking of Carter...

A lot of Obama's speech was taken right from Carter's speech to the convention in 1980.

That's the second speech that Obama plagiarized from Carter.

And look what good those speeches did for Carter.

    Yes, he does.

Ego-maniacs are not used to defeat and cannot handle it. It is similar to Tiger Woods and Mike Tyson. They believed themselves indestructible until they were brought down to earth. Other people allowed themselves to be deceived by this mega-arrogance. Once they see this "god" is quite human, it all falls apart. Everybody started beating Woods and Tyson.

Obama could not come out again and promise to slow the rising of the seas and heal the earth, that would be a tremendous mistake. He knows better now, and so do the people.

Okay, I'm not giving my source, but internet rumor (and this is only rumor, mind you, that I just discovered last night and made me the happiest woman since November 2008) has it that the private millionaire donors, instead of giving to the DNC this year (remember, the DNC is over budget and owes millions yet for the Convention), anyway, they are giving privately to help finance the home (for the Obamas to move to in January 2013)/presidential library in Hawaii. The house in Chicago reportedly will be put on the market (remembering the value has decreased and the neighborhood has gone down hill and there have been several murders there within several blocks of the obama home) in the past couple of weeks. Mrs. Robinson (Michelle's mother who has lived in the White House all of this time) reportedly has told friends she is glad to not be going back to cold Chicago and looks forward to her new home in Hawaii.

That, coupled with the unemployment numbers that were released the next day after the Convention (and obama knew what those numbers would be ahead of time before he gave the speech), tells me he knows the gig is almost up.

Another clue: There were 15,000 reporters at the Dem Convention. The indoor stadium only held 20,000 people or so. So, say 2/3 of the 15,000 reporters were actually allowed inside, that means there were only 10,000 delegates, et al at the speech. But say the 15,000 reporters were there, then that means there were only 5,000 delegates and supporters at the speech. The reason the speech was moved was probably because they couldn't fill the outdoor place, remember them giving free tickets away in bars? So, instead of having 80,000 adoring fans like in 2008, the numbers for obama have dropped significantly. Add to that all those people who are disgruntled, if not downright angry, for being turned away via email, after buying tickets, perhaps having travel expenses, meals, hotels/motels, maybe taking off work and kids out of school, etc., - and I think the American people are starting to catch on - I really hope so - Obama knows the gig is up.

The electorate is very fluid right now. Not sure the gig is up for Obama, but Romney's chances have improved.

I didn't listen to the speech, but it does seem reviews of the President's talk have gone over poorly. Recall seeing Obama being compared to Jimmy Carter in one article this morning. For someone that rose in political ranks quickly based largely upon his ability to stir emotions in crowds, this isn't good news for the Obama camp.
