Job Report Comes in at 96,000

I wonder how many people gave up looking for work last month.

 

Now, watch as the unemployment rate goes down as even mor Americans than were hire just give up and quit looking for work.

The real unemployment rate is close to 20% and getting worse.

About 350,000 left the job market. Guess they go on food stamps and medicaid!

 

It's not just the flaccid number of 96,000 jobs in August, it's also the downward adjustment of 41,000 fewer jobs in June and July than was previously estimated.

In June the number was 80,000 new jobs; July it was 163,000. Combined that is 243,000 jobs over Jun-July. Now back out 41,000 jobs and you have 203,000 jobs created over those two months. More embarrassing is if you take half of the 41,000 (or about 20,000) off of the June report it would mean that there were only 39,000 jobs created in June.

Since the start of the year Obama's 'recovery' is averaging 139,000 jobs a month. That average is helped out greatly by the months of January (243,000) and February (227,000). If you back out those two months he is averaging 107,000 new jobs per month since March.

In contrast Ronald Reagan's recovery leading up to election day in 1984 was creating an average of 330,000 new jobs per month!

 

Sadly, we're heading in the wrong direction even with jobs creation at this point. As I read earlier, in 2011 the economy averaged 153,000 jobs created a month. In 2012 we're still low, and going lower with 139,000 jobs opening up a month. And this doesn't include the number of Americans that have given up looking for work. Not good.

I'm thinking new ideas are needed if we hope to see the economy pick up steam.

Everything Obamma and the democrats have done since Obamma took office has retarded the formation of private sector jobs. The three worst offenders:

1. Obammascare

2. Dodd Franks

3. The EPA

 

Yep. But I disagree with the comment that Obama has shown lack of leadership. He is quite the leader of our nation - leading us into poverty and over a fiscal cliff!!! And, I believe it is by design!

(If the foolish, uninformed, takers of this nation vote him back into office, then our demise as a nation will be well deserved. I can see how easily the AC will be able to deceive and delude the masses. It is already happening.)
